Shenae Grimes: Single and Ready To Mingle

90210 star Shenae Grimes and her Canadian boyfriend Ethan Rapoport-Cole have called it quits, JustJared.com can confirm.

The couple “had been on and off for the past two years, during which time she moved to LA and hit it big with 90210. They were trying to make it work, visiting each other when they could, but she got tired of it,” a pal of the actress tells In Touch, noting that Shenae, 19, often returned home to spend time with Ethan, who attended school in London, Canada.

The source added, “He would come and visit her, too, but it just wasn’t working out. Her friends are joking that she’s looking for an upgrade now that she’s on the LA scene.”

The second season of 90210 premieres TONIGHT (September 9) @ 8PM ET/PT on The CW.
