Shohreh Aghdashloo proudly holds up her Emmy statue for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Miniseries or a Movie for House of Saddam at the 2009 Primetime Emmy Awards held at the Nokia Theatre on Sunday (September 20) in Los Angeles.
The 57-year-old Iranian actress wore a gorgeous floor-grazing Lorena Sarbu gown, Cartier jewels, Stuart Weitzman shoes and Swarovski clutch. She also wore a green wristband in support of the “Green Movement” – Iran’s fight for democracy!

I met Shohreh Aghdashloo at my job in JFK. she stood ther with me and spoke with me for a really long time. she was an amazing person she really inspierd me.

very disappointed with her lack of comments about Iran.
She could just dedicate the award to Neda – a symbol of the struggle for democracy in Iran – green movement – that she is wearing the wristband for. This was the moment millions of iranian freedom fighters been waiting for to get some coverage and ger their voice heard -especially the women of Iran who admire her and love her and supported her forever – this was her golden opportunity to pay back to her country the support. Too bad. very saddened.

Let the lady enjoy her success without mixing it up with politics! Wondering what you have done yourself for Iran’s green movement so far???? You may want to be saddened by that ;)

You did and you made all Iranian people proud , specially wemon of Iran who have suffered for the past thirty years and their voice could be heard. Although we understand the limitations , but we wished the late developments in Iran would have been the highlights of your speach. No matter what we are proud of you and Mr. Toozie .
