    yummy Hugh Says:

If you just saw Daniel Craig on the street you wouldn’t bother giving him
a second glance, it’s only because he’s James Bond that he becomes more appealing……….Hugh Jackman on the other hand would stop traffic regardless of him being famous, he’s the classic tall, dark and handsome, not to mention charismatic, there’s a reason why he’s the sexiest man alive.

You do realize it’s all politics here?

Daniel did not want that title, hence Hugh. Don’t be so naive to think it wasn’t all fixed between Hugh’s people and Daniel’s.

Daniel would die if that was affixed to him.

  3. 53
    to 49 Says:

    Both men have ugly wives.

Correction: Hugh has an ugly wife.
Daniel has an ugly fiancee – (no proof he is married).

And I thought there isn’t going to be any competition between the two. Isn’t Daniel straight?

    true talent Says:

Saw the play couple of days ago and must say, that Daniel is the far better actor – gives the charaxter depth and true emotion and that´s the opinion of the folks on their way out of the theater. Of course, it might have come as a surpirse to some, but it still remains a fact. A Tony nod might come his way.
BTW – both look great in their own way – I prefer DC though.

    @24 Says:

    You are right @24.

Daniel trained in the theatre in London in the late 1980s and up to 1992 when Hugh was at uni studying journalism.

On top of that Daniel has been on the London stage periodically since 1990, the last time being 2002.

Daniel is so much more than Bond, If nothing else this play means that the US is finally waking up to the fact he more than a fanstasic body and a moody face, he’s a fine actor with a fine history on stage and film.

    Just wanna say Says:

I think its normal to compare their talent and their looks. They have put these two stars on a stage and you can´t avoid to do it IMO.

I agree with those who say, DC is more talented and has more presense – and now can show it in a stripped to the bones acting job.

As for looks – they have very different appeal, but are sexy as all hell – BOTH of them in my book. Hugh is more obviously good looking, but DC gets better with each look and in the end – gets my vote.

I think the price to see that play must be high

I wish I could see this!

    Terry Says:

I saw the play and I am big Hugh´s fan and I think they both were great. This play wouldn´t work without it. They have to support each other, work together and be equally great. Why are you counting theater background? When you look at BOTH OF THEM, they are practictally identical. Hugh did Shakespeare in 90s and was in a National Theater in London when he wasn´t 30 yet. But Daniel is the same. I mean, why would we argue when neither of them gives a rats ass about who is better, better-looking or whatever?
For all of you who are insulting one or another or their wives – this is a theater, not a magazine cover! They are supposed to look like this – tired, ravaged, Hugh´s Denny is a broken man.
Hugh makes constantly fun of the Sexiest Man alive stuff because it is silly and stupid poll.
If you are a fan of either of them, you should respect what they think and who they are working with. Otherwise, you can´t call yourself a fan.

    Ali Says:

You people have to **** on the other in order to glorify your idol?! Plz don’t be so naive.
I am a huge fan of Hugh Jackman, but I am not leaning to insult Daniel.
Anyone with eyes can clearly see who looks younger.
They both great, but I way prefer Hugh

    Just wanna say Says:

Actually I don´t think giving an opinion in a moderate way is an insult and surely not on THIS board. This board has invented the meaning of insult and so far, its all VERY nice around here.

I feel, like its said – they both NEED to be good to make it work and they are, but nothing wrong with seing a bit of a difference.
If you are a fan of either of them, you should respect what they think and who they are working with. Otherwise, you can´t call yourself a fan.

Agreed – its true, THEY wouldn´t go into or want this discussion.

    wolfie Says:

Saw the play-excellent. Both actors work well together but i must say i thought Hugh is a much better stage actor. It could be i’m biased as i think he is one of the most versatile actors of today. I have seen DC in Bond and other movies (Layer Cake, FOAF, etc) and he seems very stiff in all of his roles.

  14. 64
    dan's the man Says:

I have seen DC in practically every film and TV series he’s starred in since 1992. He is a very versatile actor who pre Bond enjoyed the freedom of picking great character parts that really interested him, often in quite small independent films, for little money. He also enjoyed great success in the the theatre in the UK. In some of his earlier roles you would hardly recognise him, changing his appearance to fit the character, not trying to look like or be a heart throb in any way.
I must admit, I know less about HJ, but he too seems to be a credible actor but perhaps more interested in his image as a sex symbol than DC.
Lets just wish them both well and hope that the play is received well by the NewYork theatre critics – here’s hoping for some good reviews.

  15. 65
    oh please..... Says:

Why is the same Daniel Craig fan posting over and over again???……as if it’s not obvious………no matter how many nasty things you say about Hugh it will not change the fact that people love and admire him, get over it!!!

    Celebwatcher Says:

I would love to see this play but I’m sure it’s overpriced.

Maybe you should see his earlier works instead of those films as admittedly they were not his best.
Obsession, Love is The Devil, Some Voices, Infamous, etc.
Expand your knowledge more than the last 5 – 6 years of his resume before commenting on his abilities.

    to 65 Says:

Hugh is a good actor and needs no defense from a anti Craig poster like you. And I really don’t see posting only Daniel fans here, just the contrary. Do you fear that Hugh will only be reduced to his sexiness?
Well he doesn’t deserve that, he’s to much of a good actor. And I’m pretty sure he doesn’t appreciate the Daniel bashing …

Disagree. A fan does not need to lap everything up that an actor does.

We are allowed to disagree with their choice of roles and, heaven forbid, not like their acting in a film.
We do have our own minds and not respecting what they choose is part of the freedom of choice.

What you are talking about is idolatry worship and THAT, my friend, is where is gets out of control.

Yes I know and she has been for sometime.

    This is pertinent news because…?

well we will see satsuki in all her glory tomorrow night. are you all ready for it? wedding ring and all? daniel holding her hand too. looking the golden couple?

couldnt care less? lol, wait until you see how many people comment on her on here tomorrow! wait until you see what they say about marriage.

  24. 74
    dan's the man Says:

@to 65: Don’t be so touchy. Nobody is bashing HJ’s abilities as an actor. Just don’t know as much about his body of work as DC. I know he is very popular and seems like a nice guy,

  25. 75
    Terry Says:

To 70: I didn´t mean to worship everything the actor does. A fan has a full right to critizise any acting-related decision. What I meant is that this is a play about two equal actors and they wouldn´t choose to play together if they weren´t sure the other will handle it. I am sure they don´t care and they are not fighting over attention or so. This arguing “who is better” between fans has nothing to do with their acting, because it is mostly from people who haven´t seen the play or don´t know these guys at all.
That´s what I meant that you can´t call yourself a fan – insulting the other actor isn´t polite and Hugh or Daniel would hate to know their fans are doing it.
