George Takei: First Gay Couple on The Newlywed Game!

Star Trek‘s George Takei and husband Brad Altman are the first gay couple to ever appear on The Newlywed Game in the history of the show.

Joining the first same-sex couple ever include Christopher Knight (The Brady Bunch) & Adrianne Curry (America’s Next Top Model) and Damien Gurganius & Nicole Brewer (The Biggest Loser: Couples 2).

The episode airs on Tuesday, October 13 @ 6PM ET/PT on GSN. The new season of the game show premieres on Monday, October 12 and is hosted by Carnie Wilson.

George and Brad celebrated their one-year wedding anniversary last month (they married on September 15, 2008).

To all the idiot comments on here: Grow Up and Get a life. Gay people are not going away on TV as much as you pray for it. If you don’t like it, move to a religious controled country like Saudi Arabia or Iran. See how long you will last there.

I hope we don’t have to hear about the str8 couples whoopie either.

FYI To the Racists: He is Japanese American. If fact he and his family were thrown in the japanese interment (sp) camps back in WWII.

I was fortunate enough to be able to attend the taping of this episode. It was great!! I’m looking forward to seeing the show when it’s aired. I think most everyone with an open mind will really enjoy it.
