Jared – You failed to mention a rather important piece of info: her husband Peter Sarsgaard stars in An Education.
It’s going to be huge come Oscar time!

# 2

She looks REALLY old!

# 3

What an unfortunate looking person.

# 4

She’s got the perfect face for radio.

I met her on several occasion, she’s such a sweet and loveable person. Very nice, down to earth and friendly with everyone.
And she has the most contagious smile on earth.

@Love Maggie:

Contagious, literally, she just makes me throw up.

# 8

Can’t decide if she’s attractive or not!
She certainly doesn’t have the run-of-the mill Hollywood look to her.

# 9

May be she is not as pretty as Megan Fox or others but that’s a REAL actress!

She should stick to voice overs……

I remember somebody saying that she looks like a sad cartoon turtle. That’s a very apt description.

Same effect that you have on me LOL!

Where would Maggie be without nepotism? Who would ever cast an actress who is not only undeniably ugly but also looks like a person with “special needs”.

I agree with all your comments. She is not good looking. I can say the same thing for her brother too, Jake Gyllenhal. There is something off with their faces. She’s not bright too. Heard her being interviewed in David Letterman and boy, she is dumb. She is one of those people pretending they’re intelligent but actually are not.

LOVE Maggie G!
Great actress.

the only “special need” you need is a decent f.u.c.k. I suppose.

She is a good actress, but she looks old

i like her but thought she was older than 31

Why does she look older than 40?

En(e)ma Wattsun @ 10/06/2009 at 10:56 am

@mimi: I imagine she is far brighter than you. She graduated from Columbia with a major in English Lit. You don’t get into Columbia if you are dumb. Did you graduate from Harvard?

I can’t stand her! She is always the same annoying character in EVERY movie!! Ugh and, she’s butt

Very talented actress, she is fantastic in “Away We Go”.

Thank God, I am not the only person who just doesn’t get the hoopla about Maggie Gyllenhaal. I am sure she is a very nice person but she is SO unattractive. Too bad Sarsgaard, who is one of the most underrated actor in Hollywood, linked up with that no talent hack.

She’s awesome! It’s a pleasant surprise to see so many talented actresses on this board.

JJ usually posts alot about has beens and media whores. Maggie, Rachel Weisz, Kristen Bell – it’s a breath of fresh air around here.
