WHY does anyone give her work? She’s obviously a wreck, work only encourages her and gives her money to do more things that drag her down (smoking, drinking, drugs).
I get that Ungaro hired her because they wanted publicity, but given they WERE a very respected fashion Parisian fashion house once upon a time, is hiring Lindsay really worth giving up their reputation and having the critics crap on the collection?
In the fashion world, no publicity is preferable to bad publicity.

No, the Ungaro collection was bad. Yes, there were some nice, wearable pieces. BUT this isn’t what Fashion Week and the show was all about. It is about high fashion, extremes, haute couture. Not middle-America. Lindsay brought nothing to Ungaro. She doesn’t have the background or intelligence or the drive or ambition or work ethic to do what is needed to get a collection off the ground. Just because you shop constantly doesn’t make you an expert at designing collections. I’ve only had two fashion design courses and believe me Lindsay contributed very little n terms of work and genius. This was a blase collection of pieces. Yes some were “nice” – but they weren’t high fashion and they weren’t edgy and they weren’t cutting edge. All no-no’s for fashion week.
Needs to stop making public appearances and go back into hiding.

I wholeheartedly agree. I saw some pieces of that Ungaro collection and it really wasn’t good. That definitely wasn’t haute couture! I follow fashion closely, though I’m no expert since I never studied fashion, even to an amateur that collection was nothing special.
I have a friend who had to work extremely hard to get into fashion college. And while there, I never saw him, because for three years he had to work like possessed to learn all there was to learn about sewing, designing, colour, styles, etc. Fashion is wearable art, and it has to be studied and understood before you can be anything like a fashion advisor. And it shows that Lindsay didn’t know what she was doing when she picked the pieces for the runway, because the collection had nothing new to say about fashion, nor did it make much of a statement.
Ungaro took a gamble on a girl, whose only qualification for this position is that she loves to shop. I love to shop, doesn’t make me qualified to be a fashion advisor, does it?
It is also unfair to people who study the craft, work hard at it and are stuck working in retail, and will never get a chance as Lindsay got, though they have the talent, knowledge and experience.
If Lindsay is truly serious about fashion as she claims to be, she will apply to fashion school and learn the craft. Maybe then she’ll start to have success in the fashion world.
Man, she looks wasted. Her stupidity just amazes me.
She’s so young but looks so old, like a tired-out 40 year old. Hell, I’ve seen women in their 40′s look better than her! What a waste of a young life!
