Daniel Craig & Satsuki Mitchell Help Orphans Worldwide

Daniel Craig and his longtime love Satsuki Mitchell lend their star power to the 2009 Worldwide Orphans Foundation Benefit Gala at New York City’s Capitale Lounge on Monday (October 26).

The couple came out to support Daniel‘s Steady Rain co-star Hugh Jackman and his wife, Deborra-lee Furness, who are honorary committee co-chairs for the Worldwide Orphans Foundation.

WWO aims to transform the lives of orphaned children by taking them out of anonymity and helping them to become healthy, independent, productive members of their communities and the world.

    Sorry, how is Satsuki Mitchell helping the orphans?
    By spending Daniel’s money?

  • not wife

    Longtime love???

    Oh dear hasn’t upgraded to wife then at all? LOL!

    I see him hiding her left hand again. Bit much.

  • Jesus Christ!

    Is that his girlfriend???? She looks like an alien!! And they call Jackman’s wife ugly…

  • susie

    longtime love? no mention of satsuki being his wife. anyone notice that she’s not showing the world her famous smile; the one she gave us during the QOS premieres? in fact, she looks very unhappy; almost like she’s going to cry any minute. i wonder what went on between daniel and satsuki. maybe she’s unhappy because he still won’t let her show the world her left hand.

  • star power?

    “their star power”

    since when does she have any star power?

    did JJ write this crap to get a reaction?

  • tames

    Gee JJ. Really stirring the pot aren’t we? “Longtime love,” “lending THEIR star power” (are you serious?). I guess you get as good of a laugh about all the gf bashing as anyone else!

  • Taylo

    She’s cute. Does she do anything besides serve as arm candy?

    LOL!

    Yes sure, she’s a golddigger.

  • to 1- excellent point!

    @sorry dont get it:
    Great comment!
    You are exactly right! What the he*l is she doing to help the orphans worldwide? nothing..
    Is she donating? no. unless you count her FUG attitude and her nasty-a*s appearance as a ‘donation”.
    Amazing how angry and fighting-mad Daniel is, and exhausted. He looks like he could care less. Poor man needs some rest and relaxation.

  • RobN

    Time to lose the pornstache. I hope it’s for a movie cause it’s a turn-off.

  • Sophia

    Satsuki is beautiful. Therefore, she should laugh more.

  • to 8- LOL! LOL!

    Thank you! Your comment is too funny!!! ROTFL!
    And unfortunately for Daniel it is also very true.

    do you think that daniel and satsuki may have had an arguement?. would explain why he looks mad and why she looks miserable. also why is he still making sure no one takes a photo of satsuki’s left hand?

  • re: 9

    Amazing how angry and fighting-mad Daniel is

    ======================================================

    Great description and yes, he looks very very surly.
    God help the waiters, the bodyguards and the paps if they step out of line tonight.
    As for Gonk, I think she’s already been pulled into line.

  • re: 11

    Satsuki is beautiful. Therefore, she should laugh more.

    ======================================================

    Yes in her own gold dug universe.
    Maybe Daniel is tired of looking at her, same way there is a stain on the wall or a piece chipped off your cup.

    Paint over it or chuck it out Daniel.

  • re: 11

    also why is he still making sure no one takes a photo of satsuki’s left hand?

    =======================================================

    Because there is a band of some sort (no wedding legalities found)and to prevent Satsuki waving around like a flagman with an incoming aircraft and upsetting his fans more.

    He’s a professional and has learnt from St Barths and ring gate.
    Satsuki is a pap whore.

  • Arm Candy?

    @Taylo:

    You must mean the sour kind! LOL

  • OMG!!! JJ, HILARIOUS!!

    @FYI:
    THANK YOU I was not sure!
    mmmwwwwaaaaaaaa hahahahaha!

    JJ !! you are too too hilarious tonight! Will you be here all week?
    Thank you for the smiles and the chuckles! Yes they are so ‘loved up’ but…… no one can see it !!
    Daniel is so happy he looks like he is about to put his fist through a paparazzi!!
    and ….they are ‘lending ‘THEIR” ???????? starpower’
    OMG!! Just Jared, you are too much!
    ha ha ha ha ha ha!

  • lol – bogus

    maybe they are married and he’s regretting it now as they should look happier for “newlyweds” shouldnt they?

    the post nuptial buzz had died, what a pity.

    Before people pull our comments to bits, take a look at Hugh and his wife. Totally warm and they don’t have to be all over each other either.
    His wife is glowing and happy.

    There simply is NO warmth between Daniel and Satsuki.
    None. Everything looks forced.

  • lol – bogus

    i see that some of the outlets say producer/actress – Deborrah lee Furness.

    f*ck all before Satsuki’s name.

  • jody

    He looks miserable.
    She always looks miserable because she knows she is gross.

  • OMG!!! JJ, HILARIOUS!!

    pssst. hey ‘Starpower”……The ‘cracks’ are still showing. And It is all starting to crumble. .
    Really… the gig is up.

  • to 23

    satsuki is not even fully looking at daniel. and not a smile between the two of them. i have to wonder if we are not seeing the beginning of the end; so to speak. maybe the relationship has reached the breaking point and there’s no turning back. of course; i could be totally wrong here.

    DOWNGRADED is the operative word here.
    downgraded. Still the girlfriend… blaaaahahahahahahaha “.

    Can you imagine being married and your ‘so-called’ husband does not want to acknowledge your upgraded ‘ marriage’ status?
    How sad and embarrassing, humiliating. i guess she is not worth it? Cheese and crackers!!
    Daniel would not do that. No way. He would be joyous and beaming and proud. Not embarrassed.

  • to: tames- omg the pic!

    @tames:

  • to: tames- omg the pic! HURL!

    Tames, really …..seriously, that picture you posted in your link,
    it looks like the girl is going to HURLLLLLLL!!.

    She looks cross-eyed and about to do something nasty like toss her cookies all over Daniel.

  • lol what a circus

    I get tired looking at this worn out, frayed around the edges, damp spot drying, new house paint dried and cheap tricks gone wrong couple.

    Anyone else?

    it looks like the girl is going to HURLLLLLLL!!.

    =====================================================

    She caught herself in a paps’ lens reflection.
    Only thing that would make her do that.

  • oh no

    Seriously, I really hope she did not hurl all over Daniel here. No wonder he looks a bit perturbed. Maybe it is a ‘projectile vomiting’ thing or something like that?

    Amazing what the company of a woman like Satsuki did isn’t it?
    She should feel guilty about she has done to this man and I have no doubt she has fans who are upset at this.

    Hi Guinness, DTM, DIH and Mendel. Sorry I didn’t write sooner. I got in very late yesterday morning around 1 a.m and I still have lingering cold. Then I had to wake up early and I was on – you know kids work… Please excuse typos, becuse it’s late and I’m tired…

    I had a fabulous time in NYC with the gals. Of course the highlight was Fruday night’s performnce of A Steady Rain. Guinness you were right about the theatre being a small venue so that any seat in the house would be fine. I could see and hear our beautiful man easily. Of couse I would have prefered to in the front row, to see every hair on his head. But I did hve my opera glasses to zoom in. As you already know or have heard the performance was incredible. Daniel’s performance was amazing. My sister didn’t even recognize him. With my glasses I was able to watch closely every nuance of his face and how he conveyed the appropriate emotion . It weas amzing to watch his face redden or the tears in his eyes during a painful part. He was really into it. Jackman was also very good. Craigs performance just really resonated with me. Maybe I’m just biased. Ha!
    And yes, as you also have pobably heard, that night after the show, Hugh and Daniel decided to auction off their “wife beaters” (as they put it). That is the American slang for sleaveless undershirts worn under dress shirts. At the end of the show and they were done with their bows, all the lights in the house came on. And Hugh talked about the charity and how important it is. Hugh seemed most comfortable tlalking to the audience, while our shy guy would occasionally put in little bits – sly or witty remarks. At one point Hugh joked they were going to auction off Daniel himself. Now that I would have certainly bid on. Mortgaged my home …
    The bidding was exciting and started at $1,000. It quickly jumped to $6,000. Then they ogffered for $1,000 a signed poster by the two actors and a chance to get a picture with them and meet them. The line snaked around the theatre . Unfortunately they said they would not be able to sign programs for us less well off patrons. To be honest, I wasn’t too disappointed because I’m not much of an autograph hound. And it was chilliy and rainining outside and I was pretty tired from my coughing fits early. Thank God for Halls cough drops, I din’t cough much duriing the performance, but I sure ate way too many coough drops. What I was disappointed about though was that they didn’t take their shirts off on stage. Now that would have realy been the cherry on top. Oh Well.

    All in all a fabulous night and a great performance by too very hot and talented men. If you don’t want to be bored by hearing about the rest of my trip then stop reading here.

    Rest of the time in the city I ate great food – Spanish one night, incredible Cuban another night. I can recommend faboulous inexpensive Cubn spot there if anyones interested. Reasonble prices. The next day we slogged around the village in the rain and shopped. Had to go to Murrary’s Cheese shop to buy cheese – best little cheese shop in the Village. Whenever I’m in NY I always get Cheese and bread there to bring back to the hotel to have with wine. By the way my hotel was right on the same street as the Shonefeld – The Milford Plaza. I really don’t like staying in Times Square normally, because of the noise, but this worked out fine. Very convenient due to the weather. Just walked down the street to the entrnce to the theatre.

    Also in the Village can’t say I saw Hugh walking around, but I understand it’s not uncommon. Found a great leather store that makes beautiful bags but too rich for me. Went into some cool galleries in Soho. Saturday night I was tired from coughing so much that my sister-in-law and I decided to catch afilm ( I was traveling with 4 other women) . It was pouring down rain and we were both tired. Just wanted to do something low key. After I was able to give half of the too large portion of steak I had from dinner away to a homeless man ( he was very grateful for it and I was very happy to give it to him) we hunted for a cab Sister, Mom and other sister-in-law went to the MET to see The Barber of Seville. We saw the fiilml An Education with Alfred Molina, Emma Thompson…. Good pic.
    Sunday was a beautiflu sunny day, we had lunch at very old tavern in Hells Kitchen – delicious food. Called the Landmark Tavern . Then walked around the resevoir in Central Park to see the Fall colors. Absolutely wonderful weekend spent with loved ones. . One I will always remember.

    I hope every one is well. And Mendel, I wish you could just pop over to see it. I hope we have all been able to help you get a picture of it in your mind. Where are you in England? Are you in London. That is where my husband is from. I love London, but I can’t seem to get my husband to go back much anymore.

    A Japanese stares at Satsuki
    …………………………………………………….
    yes, hard laughing of it. he is a perfect parti for Satsuki, I bet the Japanese man would marry Satsuki at once, already tomorrow, instead Daniel who waits for I don’t know what. Fourth picture is ridiculus as well. her eyes are not straight looking, her left eyes is headed to the US and the other eye to the Japan.
    It sounds foolish but I has a dream today and there was about something Bond and I saw title of the new Bond: “Toe in tears.”
    Stupid but it means something.
    Interesting that I talked about charity and auction e-bay couple days ago and I said Satsuki is not Angelina, who spent 5$ for clothes for one night while Satsuki spent over $4000 pound for the premiere of Defiancé.
    I too said if I was in Daniel’s position I would play rent of my appartment in NY only for $ 2000 and rest of money send to hungry children in Bulgaria and Romania, while Daniel pays almost 30 000$ bills for his appartment.

  • to 48

    Daniel doesn’t pay this amount, the theater production company does and he surely needs an appartment with a taut securtiy to keep insane people like you away.

  • May

    Satsuki is the meaning as “May” or “azalea” in Japanese.
    Is Satsuki birth in May?
