Dakota Fanning Crowned Homecoming Princess

Dakota Fanning Crowned Homecoming Princess

Dakota Fanning is crowned Homecoming Princess during her football team’s away game at Crespi Carmelite High School on Friday (October 30) in Encino, Calif.

The 15-year-old actress is used to walking the red carpet at film premieres but after being crowned homecoming royalty, she got to walk the red carpet on the football field!

Dakota and her fellow Vikings on the cheerleading squad — from The Campbell Hall Episcopal in North Hollywood — stepped up the school spirit during the football game for their high school football team.

Good eye. That is a bit (very) unusual. Let’s have home “coming” away from home. It’s more like a runaway then a homecoming situation (makes me wonder if their school is being renovated or their football field and other facilities for that matter.

    It also states that :

at Campbell Hall Episcopal School in North Hollywood
    and also
    at Crespi Carmelite High School

so it doesn’t make it clear which school she goes to and which one they were visiting (poor reporting).

@CheerQueen:Dakotas parents are not in the movies and have nothing to do with it other than to be good parents

The lower grades are part of the ‘court’-princess. Only a Senior can be Queen.

Good for her remaining in school (rather than homeschooled) and doing ‘normal’ teen things.

Did she make the squad and princess due to her fame? Who knows, who cares. Don’t judge.

stop trippin people. clearly its not a public school but a private academy. all the people who go there probably have a mommy or daddy that is in some way in the spot light. the girl won based on popularity, isn’t this true for ALL highschool’s. and ACTUALLY some highschools have their courts nominated by the teachers based on grades and community involvement. on that note, i love dakota and good for her for winning :)

seriously you guys?! she got won because she’s probably really sweet too. it’s possible for a few celebrities to have a heart as well as be really talented. usually celebrities who go to public school are ridiculed and made fun of because the people around them are jealous of their success – so really, it’s a huge surprise that dakota won! i’m so happy for her because she deserves to be in the spotlight – unlike the spoiled princesses like lindsay lohan and the like.

@sarah: Campbell Hall is actually an elite private high school.

HOw bout she invites her cheerleading squad and a couple of these FRIENDS to a hollywood premiere. LEt them get the tast of the glam life since they give her a taste of normal life by voting her homecoming princess. THe fact that her parents have her in regular school is nohting to have major kudos about. There are tons of kids unfamous that have never stepped foot in school.
