Check out this video of Leighton Meester giving a behind-the-scenes look of her new video for “Somebody To Love”.
“The video that I want to make matches the song, but is also very much like a film,” Leighton explained.
“I want it to be telling a story, but a lot about the photography and the lighting and mostly about the clothes,” she smiled.
The video will be out next week and available on CWTV.com.

she keeps saying that she has nobody to love.. but i swear i thought she was carter from gossip girl lol.. the clothes are freaking fabulous and robin thicke isss sooo dreamyy !! i dont know how i feel about the actual song i mean she doesn’t sing much, she just says all the words.. the only thing i can say that i really like is robin’s part and probably the choruss.. but im sure the video is gonna rock and maybe will turn out to be better than the song itself.. hahah
She is not really a singer-it really gets on my nerves that people just get breaks and no one will hire me for almost 4 years. It is really hard to watch people just be given opportunities in their lives based on nothing but their good looks.

I love her and its a great song. She is the most talented young singer/actress of her generation
Leighton has a promisng future as an actress judging by her mature performance has Blair Waldorf in GG. I had a mixed reaction when I heard she was going to be a singer, however it really does seem like she has not been pushed into it, and it seems like something she really wants to do. The song is good– not amazing, however a strong first single. Though many dislike her voice and say she is speaking to the music, I think she was able to create a different sound that is different from what is on the radio at the moment. I really appreciate the originality of her single. It is not an ‘obvious’ song. I think a lot will depend on the video, I have faith in the director Zoe Cassavetes. ‘Broken English’ is an interesting film. Leighton has a lot of charisma on screen. A strong video to match the song might really make the difference here.
I hope it’s not mostly about the clothes cause she has horrible personal taste.
