OlderNatalie Portman Shows Her Love for India
Natalie Portman is fresh-faced at the book launch of To India With Love: From New York To Mumbai in New York City on Wednesday (November 4).
The 28-year-old actress, who posed with author Waris Ahluwalia at the event, showed her support for the book, which is a scrapbook of personal stories and photos to support the victims of the Mumbai attacks of November 2008.
Earlier today, Entertainment Weekly released exclusive photos of Natalie and costars Jake Gyllenhaal and Tobey Maguire in Brothers.
The film, which opens December 4, is about a woman whose husband goes missing in Afghanistan and how she turns to her brother-in-law for support.

Her hair is not ugly and greasy like that ugly Rachel Bilson. Natalie has it slicked back into a severe bun. Natalie and Audrey Hepburn have the classic beauty features that can pull this look off. Bilson would look like RAT WOMAN! Ratchel!!! Ha ha ha!
Natalie looks great and is working hard and Christ! With her busy schedual she did an updo. How many of you would look as beautiful with your hair slicked back like that? I have the guts to say I sure would not! Natalie is beautiful and working and has an intelligent thread on her other then, Bilson who does not but mundane tasks. Shopping and looking ugly doing it. This is what I can’t understand, this Rachel Bilson is on JJ more than Reese Witherspoon and Rachel McAdams and Ann Hathaway and Natalie Portman, why? Who needs to see her? It is not like she is promoting a movie or a cause, no director wants to hire her, why is she here all the time walking/shopping her life away.
I love Natalie, she is so talented and smart and beautiful.

Natalie and the other actresses you mentioned are at least doing something constructive such, as supporting a movie, a charity or at some event, etc. Ratchel? Shopping, shopping and doing nothing. She must pay jj well is all I can say to have so many useless threads on her.

In my opinion, people who do not work and do not contribute to charities in a meaningful way and just spend their life shopping should not be on JJ. It is a disgrace. Natalie Portman has substance and class and talent. Actors like that should be here not nobodies. Shame on you JJ.

The reason why so many low-level so-called celebs are featured on this site is because they happen to be popular with most of the people who come here. Sadly its simply the practical thing to do.

I just don’t get it why, why are these low lever celebs featured here all the time and why are they popular here. I guess bc major publications and tv programs do not talk about them so ppl come here to check on them. It is really confusing.
How do you define “popular”? I mean RB’s success is very limited and JJ is the only site that gives her this much press. If you took a pic of RB, Natalie and Kim Kardashian outside and asked 20 random people who were these women – how many do you think would know Rachel? I’d bet money almost no one would know her. They’d know Natalie and Kim though. Kim’s a “low-level” celebrity but she’s popular. Natalie’s a big celeb and again, she’s popular – why?? Because both women bring in money!!! That’s why Natalie gets movie roles and Kim gets endorsement deals and Rachel has to pay JJ and the paps to try and help her remain relevant.
I agree that Natalie is a big movie star and Kim K is popular, but why does JJ chose to promote RB unless you are right and JJ gets paid. I don’t see any other reason.
Natalie is constantly being papped for doing something constructive and worthwhile….unlike other celebs who tip off the paps to snap pics of them doing mundane stuff like shopping, eating, shopping, getting gas, shopping, picking up balloons, shopping, attending fashion shows, shopping, bar hopping, shopping, shopping, shopping…..
Natalie leads a very fulfilling and interesting life. She is smart, educated and is not intimidated by appearing in public with other talents as great actors and, directors and book writers. She is capable of having an intelligent conversation on any subject.
I think that Tobey and Jake have at least one shared girlfriend. Its great that they are doing a movie together and airing out their differences.
