You know what? It’s too bad Gerry’s fans have to be so ridiculously one-dimensional that they can’t tell a sh*t movie if it smacks them right in the fanny-pack.
TUT was BAD. How can anyone – I mean ANYONE think it is good film-making unless you are of high school mentality or u ride the short bus.
Katy Heigl has ZERO sex-appeal. Gerry is NOT attracted to her. How can you call yourfatselves Gerry fans – yet you can’t see that.

I call it like it is. Can you PHANS take off the Gerry-tinted GLASSES when you come on here trying to crtitqiue his films? Your sh*t gives me bells palsy.

Agreed. I have yet to see Gerry have any chemistry with any of the actresses he is cast opposite of in the romcoms. Perhaps his next leading lady should be “exotic” and then maybe we would actually see some “heat” generated. Personally, I think if Gerry does another romcom it will be way too soon; I’d much rather see him in action films. While I’m not a fan of baseball, at least “Slide” will be more age appropriate for him, even if it does sound like “Slide” will be to Gerry what “The Pacifier” was to Vin Diesel.

Don’t mention the e-word. The angry white women might hear you. Shhh!

You’re right about him lacking chemisty with his leading ladies so far. He had a little with Angelina, but she generates heat on her own and it was pretty clear that he wanted to poke her. It didn’t require a lot of acting from him.

What is this Slide? It sounds like a romcom that takes place on a playground.

I have to admit that I am quite proud to say that I have yet to see TUT and will most likely borrow it from my sis when she rents it ;-)
    I loathe Kathering Heigl.
Wait, has he publicly announced Burns like he publicly announced Slide and Corio??

  6. 81
    Gerry's Peenis Says:

    @oy:

No chemsitry with ANY leading ladies thus far and Angelina can have chemistry with a bathrobe.
SLIDE is a movie about a man who moves back close or in with his ex to be closer to his son. He becomes the object of all the nighborhood women’s desire as he coaches his son’s baseball team.

Its why gerry was at the yankees games i think…research! What does he know about sports??

‘e’ word…come on – we all know it ;-) if he was on screen with a lovely caramel lady ther’d be fireworks. Someone is sleeping at the wheel!! LOL would love to see gerry generate some mr and mrs smith heat with someone.
I am more of like a robert pat.kstew like fan in that I DO want to see him with a woman bc like it or not, if he isnt with a woman, he’s with a man. End of story.

    Crazy horse Says:

@CeCe is objective & refreshing: the one thing that GB isn’t playing the same role in Coriolanus this time round.

Last time he did it, it was like his first (or almost) professional stage appearance and he was in the back row of a really wierd show. It was part mime, part dance, Kabuki and posing about, like all of Stephen Berkoff’s stage stuff. It was an amazing show however. He was sort of ‘in the chorus’ – small role. He did not play Tullus. A boyfriend of mine was in the Tokyo leg of the same show (which GB was not in) and it was pretty strange gig. So, he hasn’t played the role before – he just knows and has performed a version of the play, but its a pretty random and crazy version of the thing that he did. So, I reserve judgement.

    @Crazy Horse Says:

Point taken. Overall, I think alot of people underestimate Gerard Butler’s drive and ambition. If he really wants to, he has the ability to hit anything he takes on, out of the park. I think he’s gotten lazy over the years (the lifestyle makes it very easy for him to do this)and he has accepted subpar projects strictly for money and just to get some work, screen time, etc. There seems to be a pattern: he does a few less than stellar movies which leads to denunciation and then he takes on that one role that will challenge all the prior assertions about his ability. Repeat. As for Coriolanus, Gerry is a Scot first and a Brit second, Brits are almost automatically better actors than Americans and Brits can more than handle Shakespeare.

I think that most fans by now will be happy”ish” lol to see him with a woman bc I think they are all a bit “spooked” bc of all the gay talk..
I think being seen with a woman now might actually make them feel a bit better – they could shut down the gaysayers.

But if she is too pretty, too young or too “exotic” lmao – prepare for the IDIOT train to arrive on time and disembark.

I look to laugh should he pick someone that is none of these things. That would serve everyone right thinking they can pin this guy down with all their assumptions. Gerry seems to take a bit of sport in proving people wrong; he loves playing the enigmatic, methinks. A sensible girl that takes up with Ger (although many here would argue that no sensible girl would take up with Gerard)should probably immediately dispossess herself of any desire to be in the public eye.

I love the way people hide behind their computer screens and bash others all day..Can we write something more productive other than bashing and trashing people?..I thought this was about Mr. Gerard Butler and his career?..Oh, but that’s right..people that bash others without any identity because they are cowards..that must be their career..and you KNOW YOU who are..

Dang thanks for posting those pics. wow.
Did you all see the pics of his fans celebrating his bday?? (dot net global fan celebration)
There was like 10 of them all alone in a dining hall of some cheap hotel and a supermarket cake with gerry’s pic on it??? How embarrassing. I felt sorry for them.
    .
Why would you hold a party for someone, who doesnt know you, isn’t a demi-god or world leader, isn’t dead and doesn’t know or (trust me) give a flying figguck about you????

None of them were smiling and they had nametags on. It was like some bootleg really bad convention. Still embarrassed for them.

    Hollywood Insider Says:

the GIRL…you know she may be attractive/exotic as you call it but her attitude kills it for me. she is too into herself, you all would be disappointed she even appeals to someone like gerry.
Only reason i know who she is, is bc your Gerry, like a typical guy, talks too much.
he wants to be hush hush about his women, but at the same time…he talks like a frat boy. It takes less than 48 hours for things to get around this town.

and you fans/regular people out there dont know how popular this site is. a lot of people that you would not expect at all…actually read this site and may post every now and again… ;)

    ManLESSton, I likely Says:

@crazy horse and crazy horse – you two make a lot of sense. Gerry has been coasting on his laurels lately, although I did some extending of his talent in LAC.
    .
As for the all the crticis of the films, okay. We went with the same group of friends that we saw The Hangover with to TUT and we all had a ball. I never expected it to be well acted or have any kind of a meaningful plot. We went to laugh and we did.
    .
As for LAC, we enjoyed it also but our expectations were not for an Oscar winning movie but to be entertained. It worked for us that night. I did see a little more effort from Gerry in that movie and was pleased with his performance and I thought that Gerry and Jamie played well off each other in their scenes. Not the best written flick I have seen, but I was entertained.
    .
As for the interview, click on the picture to view the interview in English. It’s that easy. Giggles has again given us some good links.
    .
As for the interview, I found it quite revealing when Gerry was speaking about Bianca and the fan backlash. The phangirls scream they want him to be happy, but their efforts and actions don’t support that. No wonder he keeps his private life away from them. They can be quite toxic.
    .
zztop, thanks for a little sanity. Some of the regulars have abandoned based on the bashing. I guess I am a little more stubborn about giving in and have learned not take anything personally.
    .
As for bashing the phangirls, I don’t want to get involved in that. We had a horrible cat fight between posters here and phangirls that migrated over to defend each other. So I’m staying outta that!

    Stinkylouise Says:

ManLESSton, I likely : I came into “Gerrydom” post-Bianca, so I was not aware of the backlash. Is he claiming the fans were responsible for the breakup? Any woman,(or man), who becomes involved with a celeb should be smart enough to avoid the internet and tabloids.

That said, I did see the video of their red carpet appearance and my impression was not of a happy couple. Especially G. His body language showed a man who was very uncomfortable and ill-at-ease. Didn’t they break up immediately after the event?

  25. 100
trying to figure it out Says:

    Stinkylouise @ 99
I think they broke up around about the time 300 premiered; they were together for quite a while. A lot of people didn’t think they looked “together” on the red carpet by their body image. Maybe he felt uncomfortable because this was the first time he had been seen on the red carpet with a woman.
