Oprah and Ellen DeGeneres shot four covers for the December issue of O, The Oprah Magazine.
After announcing that they’d shot two covers, Oprah announced that the magazine would be releasing an additional two for the special holiday issue!
Check out some highlights from the magazine’s interview with Ellen…
On why she came out: “Just to say the words was so huge for me. You know, people say, ‘Why do you have to tell everybody, who cares, and why do you have to announce it?’ It’s because it’s your truth and the truth shall set you free.”
On wife Portia DeRossi: “Well, we’re perfect for each other. She is so beautiful and so smart and so funny, and with her, I have that sense of ‘I’m done now.’ I’m settled. I know that part of my life is taken care of. I’ve got love. I’ve got someone who will be with me till the day I die.”
On getting excited for American Idol: “They came to me, and it was a total surprise. I like to try new things because I get bored so easily. And I like the show, so I thought it was a great idea.”
The December issue of O, The Oprah Magazine hits newsstands November 12 (Thursday)!

Ellen is the best. I’m glad to see that Oprah put her on the cover of O. The pictures are typical Ellen – funny & creative!
Super cute…both covers, Ellen is sooo funny, (even though it’s uncomfortable to watch her dance…lol), and Oprah, well, she’s Oprah, I love them both!
Oprah should think about adding more people on the cover with her…something different!

what a great job of photoshopping oprah–look at how slim her waist seems…because of course it is not.
And it cracks me up to hear ellen say ‘her wife”–does that mean ellen is the husband?? actually she is looking more boyish —

I respect O’s accomplishments as an AA woman, however, I cannot relate to her show. It’s painful to watch her interview celebs, because she comes across to me as phony.

Thank god for photo shop huh? I respect O’s achievments as a person and a woman. Period. This, along witht the interview, will go along way to helping restore Ellen’s just a nice person image after her terms for appearing on AI became public and read like a chapter out of The Dog Whisperer’s Cesar Milans advice…no touch, no talk, no eye contact, oh and no autographs. She said the right things and was just contrite and humble enough. The interview was like watching a really big infomercial for both brands…
She is great. Good for her. I love her talk show. Does she compete with Oprah’s show?

I don’t like Oprah. I like Ellen. But this time both of them tried too hard. Piece of natural missing.

@Eliza: It was made public on various news shows and talk shows a few weeks ago. Im guessing she was able to supress the spread of it once her team realized it was out. Im sure it’s not much different than terms of many other celebs when they do appearances. Never forget the industry is about selling images and products. It’s called show BUSINESS for a reason.

Oprah is a condescending witch. She loves to expose all the dysfunctional white folks (drug addicts, etc), but you don’t ever see her goin’ to the hood exposing the black crackheads and welfare recipients driving around their Caddies and pimped out rides. She’s openly racist and biased. And how many “white” schools has she opened? How many co-ed schools (i.e. non “all-girl” schools) has she opened? NONE. She’s a racist feminist. Wake up!

I am not an oprah fan at all. I feel like she is no different than any other talk show host, in that shes all about the ratings rather than morals. I lost all respect for her when she had the Octomoms parents on her show. And although I voted for Obama I had also lost respect for her when she wouldn’t have palin on her show, meanwhile she promoted and obssed over Obama. (abuse of power). But hey w/e shes rich so people are gonna love her.

You say shes racist against whites, well I’m black and I feel that she dosent exactly support black folks aswell. *FACT* – Her father still lives in a poverty stricken area of chicago* Oprah acts as if the ghetto dosent even exsist, which is sad considering it’s where she came from.
