OlderCate Blanchett Covers 'Vogue' December 2009
Cate Blachett cuts a bronze figure on the December 2009 cover of Vogue (reportedly photographed by Annie Leibovitz).
The 40-year-old Aussie actress is still performing the play Streetcar Named Desire at Kennedy Center’s Eisenhower Theater through Nov. 21, then will take the show to the Brooklyn Academy of Music Nov. 27-Dec. 20. Unfortunately, due to popular demand, tickets to are already sold out with the exception of a limited number of partial view seats, available by calling BAM Ticket Services at 718.636.4100.

Now there is a classy, sophisticated, very talented actress worthy to be on stage and who is a real theater star. Not Sienna Miller.

i used to read bad comments on nicole kidman’s and feeling bad for her…
today i get to read some of bad comments on Cate (i am not a big fan of cate)… similar stuff, similar childish stuff written… so i realize, it happens to every of them… you are famous and good, and everyone is jealous… Nicole Kidman has Scientology behind all those attacks, i wonder who is behind Cate’s attack…
Hands down the best actress of her generation no doubt. I just saw Streetcar last week and she literally blew me & everyone around me away! And I wasn’t even a big fan of hers before but since all of my theatre geek friends forced me to see it with them I am now officially obsessed with this actress. LOL. Do WHATEVER you can to get tix for this, it’s totally worth it and Cate is the most brilliant actress I’ve ever seen on stage and I’ve seen a ton!
Brilliant actress. Stunning, unique beauty and such a graceful woman! And match all of this wih her sharp intellect and you have quite the package. I mean, I really don’t think there’s another actress out there who combines all of this in such an impeccable way. Cate the Great!
