OlderTokio Hotel's Bill Kaulitz: 'It's A Miracle I'm Still Alive'
Tokio Hotel frontman Bill Kaulitz was involved in a car accident last week, totaling his Audi Q7 on the Germany’s Autobahn, he tells Bild.
The 20-year-old rocker, who crashed the day before the MTV Europe Music Awards and still rocked out at the show, spoke about what happened and how he’s feeling now.
On what happened: “I was sitting alone in the car and was on my way to Berlin. I am basically a very careful driver, never had an accident and never go too fast. Suddenly a car pulled in front of me without signaling. While I tried to swerve, I lost control.”
Bill hit the guardrail trying to stop his car.
On how he’s doing: “I think about the accident every day. I think it will be a while before I can get over it. It goes deep. I thought I wouldn’t make it out alive. I’ve never been this close to death!”
“It’s a miracle that I’m still alive. In moments like that we notice what is really important and to cherish one’s life anew.”

Poor guy. His professionalism is astounding too, he showed up at the EMAs with no indication that he’d gone through something like that. I’m glad he came out of the incident unharmed.

Agree, who could have guessed something tragic happened to him. They could make a big deal out of this, before EMAs and get lots of attention, but they didn’t say anything. So glad he is fine .
