Gerard Butler: Kilt Man In Scotland

Gerard Butler and his mum hit the red carpet at the UK premiere of Law Abiding Citizen in Glasgow, Scotland on Sunday (November 15).

The 40-year-old actor sported a traditional kilt for the event, and more than 70 of Gerry‘s family members and friends came out to support him!

“It’s been extra special here tonight,” Gerry told STV. “It was a big wave that hit me as I got out of the car. There was a lot of noise.

“To be able to come back to Glasgow and see that amount of people outside… you can’t ask for more than that.”

FYI: Gerry is wearing a ring by David Yurman.

I love a man in a kilt. Especially this one! Cheers Gerry!

I dont think he suppose to wear underwear underneath of his kilt.

That’s very unexpected outfit! But, he managed to look best in his attire! Still good looking wearing that kind of stuff.

He looks good in his kilt, and is able, like Sean Connery, to carry off wearing a “skirt”. Like the tartan too.

Unexpected? He’s Scottish, a kilt is what you wear for big occasions. All Scotsmen look damn fine in a ‘skirt’, not just Hollywood actors. :) Good to see him back on home soil, especially having a premiere up here – it’s not often we get them. Shame he’ll be going back to America, I hate that we produce so many stars yet very few actually stay with us…

If he wants to be a success in his career, he has to spend a lot of time in America. However, I think he’s a Scot/Brit at heart and will never abandon his country like Craig Ferguson.

Whatever, he looks simply beautiful in these photos.

Outside Cineworld on Renfrew Street in Glasgow, my local cinema……that’s hillarious! Not exactly Leicester Square in London though believe me!! Can’t believe I missed it not that I’m a huge Gerard Butler fan but that is still pretty cool! He looks good in the kilt, not many guys can pull it off but he does! lol

He looks extremely hot in his kilt. And those pics with his mom are adorable.

He looks A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!

And to #6? He didn’t. (Before the haters start in on me, I believe it was The Guardian that quoted him on that one.)

What a thrill for him to premier his HIT movie at home! He looks stunning and happy, and as usual, he was lovely with his fans. His mum is a beautiful lady and obviously so proud of her son. It must have great occasion for his family and friends.

Butler looks amazing in kilt – like he was born to wear one. Guys have to be both trim and muscular to carry it, and he does.

His mom’s a lovely lady.

In some pictures his kilt looks like gray, white and black and in others it’s blue, white and black. Which is it? Does anyone know the name of the plaid?

He does look damn good and he looks 10 years younger than last week. How is that?

British, we have the same thing in Canada but I don’t begrudge the actors, comedians, and musicians from here that are doing so well around the world, they are great ambassadors. Because there were really were no opportunities here in Canada for artists until perhaps the last 15- 20 years, enough to make a decent living, and a lot of Canadians wouldn’t acknowledge artists until they made it south of the border.

@Horizontalambada:

Yes it is sad when one has to project their personal issues on perfect strangers.
