Good Morning America Cuts Adam Lambert From Concert Series

Adam Lambert‘s performance on tomorrow’s Good Morning America has been canceled.

An ABC News spokesperson reveals, “Given his controversial American Music Awards performance, we were concerned about airing a similar concert so early in the morning.”

In response to the situation, Adam told Ryan Seacrest, “Obviously I respect their decision, they gotta do what they gotta do. It’s too bad, I think there were a lot of fans who were excited to come see me.”

He added, “They probably had a lot of pressure coming at them from certain people who weren’t happy about it. I respect their decision – I don’t necessarily agree with it, but they need to do what they need to do.”

WHAT DO YOU THINK of GMA nixing Adam’s performance???

    yea! im first again!

    katie Says:

well ya, you can’t just go on television, give a crude performance and expect this not to happen. I’m sure that’s just what he wanted though.

  3. 3
    paula Says:

I just find it hypocritical b/c they would have no problem airing a performance by another artist (cough- heterosexual- cough) and have sexual innuendos and profanity in their music/choreography.

I just thought Lambert’s vocals were off at the AMA’s- but I wasn’t really shocked by what he did on stage.

If Madonna can simulate masturbation on her Blonde Ambition Tour circa 90/91, then Adam’s performance is not the least bit shocking.

There is obviously some homophobia going on here (in my opinion).

    rhonda Says:

that is exactly the response that he wanted. So congrats to him he is totally working the Pr system!

    Yvonne Says:

Paula, cough…. give me a break, get of the cough…… homophobia card… He was really in appropriate in his performance, why?? Do we need to see all that, is he a Singer or a performer???

    mickey Says:

He is lame anyway. Good for GMA. All he does squeal and try to get attention from shock value. What’s really shocking is that people actually care. He is a gimmick.

    ivelise Says:

ok Rihanna can perform almost naked and get’s to be on Good Morning America once again with nothing on, but he kisses some guys and makes the AMA’s interesting and the condemn him for it that is absolutely ridiculous. I say he sue ABC for discrimination!!

  8. 8
    wendy Says:

    Totally homophobic!!!

If Rihanna can perform looking like that, then he should as well.

  9. 9
    LeeAnn Says:

    Yeah right on GMA!!

  10. 10
    Pandora Says:

@ #8 Wendy — so true. Seems there is a huge double standard here. A female can look like a complete skeezer but a gay man doing something suggestive is verboten. That’s pathetic.

    AutumnM Says:

But Madonna did that at CONCERTS where people paid money to see her. She did NOT do that on National Television like Adam did where kids were watching. You can’t even compare the two. Big difference.

I do have to say I think it’s wrong of GMA to cancel his appearence though. Adam did go a little too far, but come on, this is ridiculous.

    kk Says:

By kissing that guy and dong that crude crap he just set the gay civil rights movement back twenty years. Gays have fought for decades to end the stereotype of sexual deviants and to be seen as respectable family orientated people. This guy needs to dissapear. Forever.

Screw them. Who watched GMA anyway?

    hahaha Says:

in europe, adam’s performance is old hat. he’s is playing the gender card but it’s a joke. men have always had the upper hand in life especially in the music business. this isn’t a gay issue, this is a misogynist one that everyone is tired of. I bet you all the idol execs i regretting there decision to back adam because he will cost them more than he will make. he’s reckless and demanding without the chops to back it up. the biggest question is where can he go from here?

  22. 22
    ommmz Says:

Adam Lambert isn’t doing anything that other avant-garde mainstream artists haven’t done; Madonna, Rihanna, and Lady Gaga, Britney Spears have all rocked the world with racy intensity.
Although, it’s an interesting phenomenon that the current society has more tolerance for provocative behavior from female performers.

It’s okay to be “out there” and be controversial, but at least do it with a sense of style and purpose (IE: Lady Gaga). But don’t act like the audience is stupid and can’t sniff out your emulation and desperation.
And don’t go around expecting the professional industry to roll out the red-carpet when you’re parading around town with such brazen rebellion and disdain.

  23. 23

    @hahaha: hear hear!!

  24. 24

so right. reality tv people need a dose of it. you want to play with the big boys, this is how it works. maybe he’s just surprised no one is buying what he’s selling

  25. 25
    AutumnM Says:

But those artists you mentioned were actually established before they started really being over the top or raunch. Madonna for one was always “out there”, but she didn’t really start being over the top until later in her career and she certainly wasn’t doing what Adam was doing when she started out.

All those artists you mentioned waited first to establish themselves and had success first before being completely over the top. It was a gradual process whereas Adam just put it all out there already without being established. Adam hasn’t even had any success yet. It was just a bad move on his part.

  26. 26
    Liz Says:

At the time the AMAs aired, kids were supposed to be in bed, sleeping to get ready for school the next morning.

Had it been earlier, I firmly believe Adam would not have done that performance. He’s a smart cookie. He knows what he’s doing…and he does it WELL!!! GO ADAM!

  27. 27
    Cougarx Says:

Are you kidding me? That performance was within the mainstream of what we see in music today. The issue I have is that music has become much more about the visual image than the sound. I suppose we could blame Michael Jackson and Madonna for this. But what they did was pioneering. The result, however, is now you get people like Xtina Aguilera whose music “videos” are paid a lot more attention to than her “music.” Anybody talking about Adam Lambert’s music? Which to me was surprisingly bland.

  28. 28
    Cidalia Says:

    Yes ….on her tour.

Why is it that everytime something negative is said about his performance people always mention his sexual orientation??????

His perfomance was bad…he tried too hard .

ABC is run by disney.. disney doesnt want some guy to make out with another guy on a basic cable channel. madonna did it on mtv a channel that isnt basic. there are different guidelines for basic channels and cable channels. cbs, nbc, fox and abc are suppose to be channels that are approriate before nightime tv comes on. therefore abc had every right to get rid of adam. he cant sing anyway

  32. 32

Yeah perverted ***** like him deserve to have a time out and why not
throw a guy on a speaker and simulate having sex with him.. Perverted
***** like that need to be taken down a step and realize there are
reasons the station do this.. Of course Janet did not get charged but
the station did for her nudity breast…So why should ABC have to suffer
for a perverted **** like him BLAME THE RADIO AND TELEVISION

    AaniGurl Says:

    Good Morning Homophobic America..
so it ok for Rihanna to perform wearing nothing ..
janet jackson, madonna, britney always does it ..
even 16 year old striper miley cyrus “taking it from behind” in from of all KIDS concert is somehow ok ??!!!!!!!
so if he doggystyled or grind that would’ve been ok ???!!!!!

CHILL OUT .. he just started a new dance move “oral sex” .. can’t wait to go to a club to demonstrate

  34. 34
    sara Says:

Is anyone else sick and tired of hearing how a person who crosses the line, who is anything other than a white straight man is somehow being discriminated against? Guess what-people would be unhappy about any people regardless of their sexual orientation, mimicking the act of oral sex on an internationally televised peogram too! When you have artists like Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood nominated/performing at the same show, who clearly have a very different fan base than Adam Lambert you can’t assume the audience who loves a girl standing with a guitar will be okay with watching the envelope being pushed that far. As far as I am concerned push things as far as you want when the audience is yours and yours alone.

  35. 35
    curious Says:

AL had at least 2 rehearsals before show the producers and ABC execs saw the S&M themes. So they didn’t have a problem with him leading dancers on leashes

  36. 36
    mare Says:

This guy can saw good bye to his career. he is not good enought or popular enough to pull this stuff. Who really cares? It is not about a double standard it is about appealing to mainstream audience and to some extent kids who watch shows like american idol. His behabior was unnecessary. AGAIN GET OVER YOURSELF!

  37. 37
    AutumnM Says:

I know u did not just mention Janet Jackson. Were u living in a cave or something? She got the BIGGEST BACKLASH ever for what happened at the superbowl. The backlash she got was 10x worse than what Adam is getting. You cannot be serious.

  39. 39
    DAVID Says:

Everyone keeps talking about how racy it was… I didn’t think so at all… I actually thought it was a lame attempt at being racy. It was very “hey look at me! Aren’t I soooo scandalous”… All I saw was bad singing and DEPERADO-ness.

Her Blonde Ambition Tour was something u had to pay to see or on HBO… not Disney owned ABC, tard. I agree with you but, to make a point you cant be an idiot.

    Trash is Trash Says:

Personally I think all of them Rihanna, Lambert, Lady Gaga and now Shakira (who is talented but sold out to the industry pressures) are inappropriate for anyone to be watching or listening to the garbage they call music and performing.

Unfortunately, in todays society people are so desensitized to what is vulgar that it is now called art or an expression of their talent. Well I call B.S. and thankfully there are still people with some common sense to see trash and know it’s trash!

  42. 42

    Art? Music? Think not!

  43. 43
    AaniGurl Says:

i love janet jackson i didn’t mean the superbowl thing..
i’m talking about the dance moves ..
all those girls touch themselves and touch the dancers the same way ..
and to who sayin ABC is run by Disney.. disney has the biggest ***** on their channel MILEY CYRUS striping pole, half naked photos, doggystyling in concert with not “might be kids watchin at 11pm” but def “all kids watching in day time”
they CANNOT do anything to Adam coz it’s pass 11pm .. ha!

  44. 44
    Sunshine Says:

Adam, who closed the show, gave a very provocative performance, shoving people’s faces into his crotch, leading dancers around on a leash, acting out S&M fantasies and kissing both men and women.

It was too provocative for regular TV…they should cancel him.

I think the cancellation of his show is overated…it’s not as if no one has seen this kind of act…anyway, between 8 – 9 in the morning…most children are in school, and most teens and adults are either at school or work.

As it is…Someone in America is working hard to re-instate American values and purity of thought. Good luck…the box has been open and a million vices are floating about…lol….I would have loved to see his performance…Adam is Madonna’s long lost other…lol…

  48. 48
    johnosahon Says:

janet jackson performed that famous “if” routine, where she touches the crotch of the male dancer, that gets NOTHING?

  49. 49
    shelby Says:

THANK YOU GMA! Finally someone stands up to these performers who think they can shove their inappropriate crap down our throats. Stop acting like the victim. We wouldn’t have appreciated that from anyone… gay/straight/male/female. The AMA’s was NOT the place.

  50. 50
    Lola Says:

The difference is that Madonna et al never did it on network cable tv. You even mentioned yourself – Madonna’s Blonde Ambition Tour. If somebody wants to be really raunchy and sell tickets to that event, fine. People can buy tickets and go see it. I don’t think it should be out there on cable tv where just anyone can watch it (grandma’s, kids home on sick days, young children with their moms) We don’t need Adam Lambert shoving his **** in everyone’s face. The other performers like Madonna et al did it on tours, dvds or late night television.

Oh, and it’s not a gay issue. I am no bible thumper and I have quite a lot of good gay friends, but that does not mean I want to see Adam Lambert sticking his **** in people’s faces first thing in the morning.

And besides all that, he sucks. He can’t sing or perform and his song is really bad. One of the worst songs I’ve actually ever heard. Hence all the **** thrusting to take the spotlight off of his no-talent

    Really Now Says:

Im glad they CUT him that Performance was DISGUSTING!!!

Good, Gays are getting so tacky, don’t want to see that, our want children to see that!!

  53. 53
    dodo Says:

i love my gay friends but i think this response is a reminder that they are in the small minority and they aren’t as powerful as they think they are. blogs have caused my girls to lose their clout and perspective. adam can’t expect the votes of america on idol & then say eff you the first chance he gets… he’ll learn the hard way.

  54. 54
    Miranda Says:

it probably wouldn’t be a bad idea for Adam to tone it down just a bit. He’d be a lot more accessible to a lot more people that loved him from American Idol. But I do think it’s kind of ridiculous that they didn’t expect he knows his boundaries and his audience and he probably wouldn’t be so overtly sexual on a morning show. I mean he’s not stupid. I agree with the double standard thing though how someone like Rihanna can perform in a sexy outfit and act sexual on stage but most likely because Adam is gay they find that unnacceptable or risky? LAME.

  55. 55
    shelby Says:

No double standard. Nobody should get away with crap like that. Know your audience Adam. Most of us didn’t appreciate your vulgarity.

  56. 56
    Diva Says:

His performance was beyond innuendo and it has nothing to do with being hetero vs homo, the performance (1) sucked, (2) was crude and (3) was attention seeking to the point of desperation.
He has pushed the gay and lesbian movement back 10 steps when he could have been himself (which this image creation certainly is not) and been smarter with his career (a la Lady Ga Ga for example) and made a more savvy and creative move that would have set him on the path for long-term success…but I guess we’ll see…

  57. 57
    Lola Says:

And what about kids who are home schooled then? to all you people saying people have done this before…what about all the flack that janet got because her nipple showed at the superbowl. Oh right, that was because she was black right?

You people have no argument and I’m going to stop wasting my time with such stupid reasoning.

  58. 58
    Melanie Says:

I guess he wants to go back to stage work!

  59. 59
    Cindy X. Says:

that performance was entertaining…i don’t know if it was appropriate for the American music awards…his sexual innuendos were too shocking for the national public…his performance had a soft porn musical feeling…his scream singing got a little annoying throughout his performance…all in all…he got his 15 minutes….his music will not be hitting the radio waves…he belongs on broadway.

What hypocrisy, women like Lady Gaga can perform with blood dripping on them, Madonna can perform simulated sex but when a Gay man does it, it’s wrong. America is so Puritan. Oh, well. At least Adam is not hiding in a closet like half the gay men in Hollywood. Tom Cruise anyone? Adam is bold to just be who he is, whatever you think of the performance. Who watches Good Morning America anyway? Oh, grandmas. I forgot.

  62. 62
    Anon Says:

The people making these decisions are probably a bunch of guys who don’t mind looking at Rihanna’s coochie, but are disturbed by Adam. The USA is really backwards. I’m embarrassed sometimes with how out of it we are, and the rest of the world is way ahead of us.

I also think that yes, everyone is talking about Adam, but it isn’t cool when you get censored. Fortunately he is remaining calm and not blowing up about it. I also think since he knows how people are, he needs to just use better judgement when he appears on American TV. He should treat all of it as if it was still that cheesey American Idol. LOL!

  63. 63
    happy girl Says:

ALSO, Madonna performed many erotic performances on MTV, Hello? How quickly we forget her Vogue performance where the dancer goes under her dress.! Hello! Double standard. Gay men still have it bad. Sad.

  64. 64
No to both het and homo tv sex Says:

If het sex on tv requires me to be ok with homo sex, then take it all away. I’d rather it stay in the bedroom altogether where it belongs. People think that we need to be ok with incessantly pushing the boundaries or we risk being ‘prude’. Well when is pushing the boundaries going to far? I’d rather be a prude.

  65. 65
    Andrea Says:

Its not homophobic because if two straight ppl were simulating oral sex that would be just as unacceptable. His performance was disgusting and he probably scarred and tainted a bunch of little kids minds. I think it should have been censored in the first place. Oh and his vocals sucked. Its good that GMA canceled on him but all this crap could have been avoided in the first place had he not been such a narcissistic, egotistic, pervert in the first place.

  66. 66
    Nobody Says:

The double standard crap is CRAP. Adam STFU they tore Janet apart because of an accident. There is a TIME and a PLACE….save your crappy show for MTV idiot not network TV. Why would ABC want another fine from the FCC?

And forget reality TV where you have 12 girls sleeping with one guy (Rock of Love). Come on. This is because Adam is gay . That’s it. Yuo may not like his performance but he has the right to do what all the other stars have done for shock value. Go Adam! We love you!

    cindi Says:

I have an idea!! Next AMA’s put your children to bed or TIVO the
show and decide which preformance to show your children.
This year my children will not watch any of the preformance. I like Adam Lambert and I watch his preformance and it was pretty
wild but not as bad as some of the preformances in the past!
If you worry about your children watching things you do not
consider appropriate then monitor them. If we are going to
be so righteous about performances at the AMA then make
it across the board. Starting with the ladys too!! By the way
    Adams album is great!!

P.S. I also would not let my children watch a new program like

  70. 70
    John Adams Says:

As a gay man, I’m not enthusiastic about Adam Lambert’s first major public performance at the AMAs. As many have noted in several different discussion forums, his singing was *not* his best, and that’s what should have come across before any of the other antics that occurred. I have my suspicions that he faltered in the ‘talent’ department because he himself was nervous about what he knew he was going to do in the ‘showmanship’ category. (But that’s just my conjecture.)

I think it’s wrong to yell, “homophobia” regarding any consequences resulting from his AMA performance. He was in control of what he did at the AMAs and is responsible.

There is a difference between homosexuality and hedonism, and I am really getting ticked off by homosexuals who confuse the two and then cry, “homophobia!” when there’s a backlash. Believe it or not, homosexuals actually *do* have morals. Some of us are even Christians with a set of sexual mores just like everybody else. (Who knew, eh?)

To my mind, Adam Lambert didn’t “push the envelope” so much as he pushed some buttons – including some of mine. I’m pretty angry with him for crossing the line with the implied oral sex. He was completely selfish and thoughtless (regarding generating ‘buzz’ for his singular career) by doing so, and it’s my opinion that exemplified and fostered a stereotype that all homosexuals are hedonists.

He could have gotten away with being considered “edgy” and actually doing some good by performing the kiss and the dancer-on-a-leash antics, and then citing the “if the gender/sexual identity roles were changed…” argument. But he didn’t. He had to take it to that *final* step and simulate public, oral sex to carry it across the line into vulgarity.

Thanks, Adam. Thanks a whole bunch for showing the world that gays can be just as crude and vulgar (and even more so!) than anyone else in show business. Thanks for nothing.

  71. 71
    Melanie Says:

He likes to play to stereotypes.

  72. 72
    shelby Says:

To John Adams #69, I totally agree with you. It was the simulated oral sex that crossed the line. Everything else would’ve been glossed over… but not that one. Horrible decision on his part and even a bigger mistake to act so flippant about it.

  73. 73
    joy Says:

SO GLAD THEY CANCELLED his morning performance. His AMA performance was rude, crude and vulgar. If he expects to appear on TV in the future he needs to realize he has to do it respectfully. When he’s on his own time he can do what he wants but NOBODY wants to see that on a show that’s supposed to honor MUSIC. It wasn’t right when B. & M. did it and it’s not right for him to do it. The AMA’s should tell their performers ahead of time what will be NOT allowed. I thought it really cheapened the show even more than some of it had already been cheapened by some of the outfits. They are there to SING not put on an R or X rated performance. Hope this hits him where it hurts—in the bank account.

  74. 74
    J Says:

ABC has ALL performers do a sound check and rehearsal so the network must have seen what he was going to do before the show aired. So it is not all of Adam’s fault.

  75. 75
    Kelly Says:

@Liz: Ha! He has already made it perfectly clear that he doesn’t give a crap who doesn’t like what he does. Even if that means horrified parents who have to cover their kids’ eyes. I don’t think anyone thought this performance through before letting it air.
@ommmz: I was never offended by anything the people you mentioned did in a performance. So what, they had sexy outfits and danced provacatively. That is nothing compared to what Adam did. I was offended by the performance. It took inappropriate to an entirely different level. It was disgusting and if I had been a fan to begin with I would have been embarassed. I think he should give more thought to his fans. Maybe they weren’t as disgusted by it as I was, but it definitely made them look bad to those who were.@ivelise: Did you see the rest of the performance. It wasn’t making out with a guy that made the performance classless. How about when he shoved a dancer face into his crotch and thrusted, or when he grabbed the female dancers crotch. Making out with a guy was the least of my concern about this performance.@Pandora: I have considered this and tried to decide if I myself am being sexist, but I really don’t think I am. If Britney Spears had done any of the previously mentioned things during a performance, I would also have a problem with it. I didn’t have a problem with the Britney/Madonna kiss and I don’t have a problem with Adam’s kiss. Then again, there was a lot to distract me from that.
I hope that that performance ruined his career. It was sleezy and we don’t need anyone like him in the industry.

  76. 76
    lynn Says:

The most annoying thing here is that he claims to be a singer and a performer and he did none of them his singing was rubbish and hi didn’t perform well, fell off, etc….What the h*ell was he thinking of? How on earth people compare him to maddona or Lady Gaga or other big names, at least they can back up the acts with a good performance. I couldn’t sing that song well at all.

People can be deviant all they want at their own paid concerts or pay per view shows. NOT on prime time TV for a mostly tween and teen audience. Come on, where is the decency? Remember how they chased Janet Jackson outta town for a nipple flash? And fined CBS half a million dollars. For months and years afterwards they had the decency police watching every show and the tape delay broadcast. How did they get away with the Adam smut in prime time? I wish CBS gets fined again when Adam operforms.

Too much, too soon. He is not established yet. It doesn’t matter anyway, Middle America will never be ready for that. Since he closed the AMA’s down, it seemed okay. He admitted the sound was pitchy. Adam has never been pitchy. He has an awesome voice. The backlash will probably take him down a peg or two. Also, the people who blog on this site need to check their spelling!!

Oh give me a break america!!!!!!! for this lambert get kick? so the world rather see war than this type of harmless entertainment? for your information young children shouldnt watch this award shows anyway, look at how the performer dress, is rhianna ok to be seen by children with that zebra peek a boo tits? America are so hypocrite! I rather watch adam performance 100 times than watch CNN report another bomb and killing in Iraq!!!

    TONY Says:

It wasn’t harmless entertainment, it was sh*it singing and a ridiculous performance.
If he wanted to do something like this he should have doen it well, it was cheap and trashy, not sexy at all.

Attention everybody! A Britney Spears fan has entered the comments section, and I’m hear to call a lot of people out!

There is no way that you can blame Adam’s backlash SOLELY on the fact that he’s gay. Britney has gotten SO MUCH flack for nearly everything she has done (from the school-girl skirt and the flesh-toned VMA outfit, to “the Kiss”), and she’s a young, beautiful, blonde, southern straight girl who at one time claimed to be republican. So, If Britney can take the heat, so can Adam (whom I adore, by the way).

I only wish that Adam would at least apologize for the venue at which he decided to put on this type of a show. I don’t have a problem with what he did, I enjoyed it, but I think it would have been better on Showtime or in concert, not on Disney’s ABC.

For his first post-idol performance, he should have tried to impress the audience, not shock them.

Iam not a prude. I like rough shows on HBO, in concert. Things are for adutls and pay are for adults and pay.General tv is for all. He was not edgy or pushing the limits. He went over. There are many shows like Gossip Girl, getting a tween and teen audience and these should be off the air or on cable or late night.
MileyCryus is a tramp and her act is not suitable for kids, tweens and teens, her audience. Parents, peoplehave tostop it. Don’t pay to go to her shows. Yes,she does it doggy style on stage.
Lambert is gay.Dumb because he wanted to outdo in the nasty dept and he got canceled today for GMA.They could not run the risk. He aslosaid he just went with feeling the song on the AMA. He probably did not show AMA what he was going to do. He can really ease his way out of a career.
As someone said,he is gay.We get it.He set gay people with his performance. He is homophobic one.Whypush hisgayness ?

David Bowie kissed a man on stage along time ago.Big deal, old news.Edgy, think up something new.

I really think these shows should use a delay button and censor viewing.Cut only up the faces.Rynanna outfit was disgusting.Ugly.It reminded me of after JLo wore that greenVersace dress,Toni Braxton haad to do one up and wore some white bans of fabric of a dress that was revealing but ugly. That Versace dress was really pretty, the fabricand it was really just her legs and arms exposed. The v low neck was like a swimsuit.

I waited all evening to see Adam sign at the Amas but when the moment arrived I have to look aside.
I didn’t care about he and the guys acting like they were dogs,it was a show.
But when I saw he shoving people’s faces into his crotch?,that was to much . I dind’t wanna see that . at all . It was so….lame? i don’t know, I don’t wanna say disgusting because I love Adam but….

    tina Says:

The sad thing here is that Adam really can sing and sing beautifully. That didn’t happen at the AMA’s. I was on the fence about purchasing his CD but between the ridiculous CD cover and this performance-no way will i do it now. He should have used that performance as a spring board to launch his CD. He should have played it safe and gone after the American Idol audience and this would have generated interest for his CD. Instead he has disgusted many of those who would have purchased his CD. He really made a miscalculation. I believe his CD sales will hurt because of his antics. Middle america will not buy music from someone who cares so little about offending them. I like Adam but he made a huge mistake. I also believe that his performance has hurt the gay movement. I know several gay guys but none like him. They don’t feel that they have to shock to be important. He tried to hard to make an impact……well, he made one but not a good one. Chances are this will really hurt him.

  94. 94
    mmmmmmm Says:

@paula: honey, there’s a difference between what madonna does on tour than what adam lambert on a broadcasted appearance. there are millions of people that tune in and they aren’t necessarily looking for his vulgar performance. a concert, on the other hand is something people pay to see, and that’s something they should expect. you’re seeking out a certain artist, therefore one should know what he’s doing. that’s a specified audience, broadcasted award shows and daytime shows…that’s as broad and general as you can get. do you get what i’m saying or do you need more of an explanation?
it would have been just as vulgar if he rubbed a female’s face in his crotch. not everything has to do with homophobia so honestly, find something more worthwhile in your life than to accuse everyone of homophobia. honestly, grow up. get an education. get over it.

Adam Lambert is a tool! ABC is being discriminatory? Madonna and Britney do it, why can’t I? Whine, whine whine….What an entitled douchebag!

    jillie1962 Says:

Adam Lambert was doing things that others consider wild and inappropriate long before he ever appeared on the AMA. He was kissing men in public and for the camera long before he appeared on American Idol, as well as publicly dressing in drag. Adam Lambert’s behavior is flamboyant and unedited – but that is not a PR tactic, he simply is who he is.

    Amy Says:

Adam, if you’re comfortable with your sexuality you shouldn’t force it on others. It’s against nature to force anything. Maybe you are seeking resistance. Not healthy but definitely worldy. Time has a way of lessening the ego through lessons learned. Best of luck to you Adam. Your voice is going to sing true in time.

He was my fav throughout AI. My birthday was yesterday the day the album dropped and had planned to buy it for my birthday then I heard about the AMA performance. He likes to go for new boundaries. That means each performance has to move the boundaries more and more? He is so, so talented with just his voice. I fear his voice will become secondary and his “stage performance” wil get in the way or compete too much with his voice. I was really disappointed. I could care less if he’s gay, by the way. Lady Gaga is so known for her outfits that the shock value of them is getting old. They don’t have the effect they used to. That’s what happens when someone gets a “gimmic” and it tires then what’s left. I don’t want that to happen to Adam but I fear in five years he will be with Lady GaGa……a blast from the past!

    Renata Says:

I think it´s understandable. I haven´t actually seen the AMAs performance, however the subject is “in” at the moment.

And i´m sure he didn´t mind much either; “Bad” Publicity, but the buzz is on him. All eyes on him. He just has to pick his next move wisely.

P.S I partially believe agree with the homophobe thing, however, i think this is how boundries are broken; it´s shocking now, but in 10 years time, it will be seen as what started the movement.

    Jennifer Says:

Im sure he NOT an idiot. He was caught up in the moment on the Awards show – he’s a PERFORMER… I’m pretty sure he wouldve toned it down for morning tv. Give me a break – ABC – you’ve shown much worse. What are we 10 years old – we have to be punished for a risque performance??? Too bad….I was waiting for I WONT WATCH ABC’S GMA!

    Jennifer Says:

What about the performance of SAINT SHAKIRA – her girls were forcing us to watch them stick out their vaginas throught their entire performance and yet nothing was said about that.

@sara: even though i support adam and think he’s talented (even though his performance sucked, song sucks) i agree with you. it’s just like the black racism thing (and i am black). people want to create something out of nothing. it’s a conspiracy.

adam’s entire performance was RACY. he had someone go to his crotch and act like they were giving oral. hello people! the gay kiss was just the icing on the cake!
