OlderRyan Reynolds Honors Gotham, Talks Green Lantern
Ryan Reynolds suits up for IFP’s Gotham Independent Film Awards at New York City’s Cipriani, Wall Street on Monday (November 30).
The 33-year-old actor celebrated the independent filmmaking community and checked out the first honors of the hectic awards season.
Ryan recently spoke to MTV about his role in The Green Lantern and what he hopes audiences will take away from the film.
“I think you walk away from this first film, and the moments that you remember and the moments that mean so much to you, not unlike Iron Man, are the moments where the guy’s not in the suit,” he said.
“That, to me, is the tough thing to get right,” Ryan continued. “And that’s something that [Iron Man] did get right.
“You see why this guy’s in the suit, and that’s what’s interesting to me. Not that he is in the suit, but why.”

Bella, here’s some info: The Green Lantern is not just one person. Think of them as the space police. But Hal Jordan, who is white, is the main one. In the cartoon, they used John Stewart (who is black) to make it more diverse. However, John has always been a supporting character.
