Vampire Diaries and Lost hunk Ian Somerhalder talks “7 Things” with Newsweek.
The 30-year-old actor shared, “I auditioned for [Jason Stackhouse on] True Blood and couldn’t rock it to convince [creator] Alan Ball that that was my role. I didn’t get it and I was very bummed. I couldn’t watch True Blood until now because now I have my own role. But before that, I was convinced I couldn’t play a vampire because I blew the audition.”

I’ve been crazy about him since the bed dancing scene in Rules of Attraction but kind of went off him for a bit after I heard he was ensnared in Parasite Hilton’s crab trap for a hot minute. Love him on VD and so happy he’ll reprise Boon on Lost!!!

i first watched him on young americans, did anyone remembered that show? it was a filler show for 8-9 episodes, kinda like dawson’s creek, i knew he would be a big star then, even before lost.. and now he’s on one of my favorite tv shows the vampire diaries on cw!
Gorgeous eyes! Love him on TVD! He does such a great job as Damon! First villain I ever liked, because of that sarcastic type of humor he has going on. Can’t believe he didn’t make it on True Blood, but their lost is someone else’s gain because he is great on TVD, Damon is a much interesting character than Jason Stackhouse. I really like him in this interview, seems like a smart guy.
