OlderIdina Menzel is In Talks to Join 'Glee' Cast
Broadway beauty Idina Menzel is in negotiations to land a recurring role on Glee, THR reports.
The 38-year-old singer and actress is expected to appear in the back nine episodes of the first season and would play the coach to rival glee club Vocal Adrenaline.
Idina‘s Wicked co-star, Kristin Chenoweth, also appeared on Glee earlier in the season, playing a down-on-her-luck singer with a penchant for drinking.
Glee‘s fall finale is TONIGHT at 9/8c on FOX and will return on April 13, 2010 after American Idol finishes its run.

That would be absolutely amazing. Idina would make a wonderful addition to Glee! She is such a talented singer and actress, I hope they’ll have her on the show.
That would be EPIC. Idina is so talented, and if it’s true and she lands a recurring role, they sure as heck better have her sing. It would be even more epic if K. Chenoweth came back for some reason and they sang together. :)
She could totally play Rachel’s mom. That would be awesome. They look just alike. I know she has two dads, but some woman provided her with some DNA.

She is great!
Idina Menzel was great in RENT and Wicked. She tried acting in movies and she i thought was horrible. She has parts in Enchanted and Rent (The Movie) and her acting was so so. Either way if she is or isnt ill be watching Glee no matter what. Golden Globes nominations are coming up and they like to nominate new shows and talent so im crossing my fingers for Lea Michelle to get nominated she has the best voice in the show
I am a HUGE Idina fan and I’m so excited that she’ll be on Glee. The crossovers between broadway and tv is amazing!
