OlderRussell Crowe: 'Robin Hood' Trailer!
Check out the trailer for the international trailer for the new Robin Hood movie, out May 14.
The action-adventure stars Russell Crowe, Cate Blanchett (as Maid Marian) and Matthew Macfadyen (Sheriff of Nottingham). At the helm is director Ridley Scott, who directed Matchstick Men, Black Hawk Down and Gladiator (Russell also starred in this movie).
Cate the Great in another period costume? I’m in!

This movie looks great! I can’t wait to see it. Russell+Ridley+Cate this ought to be very good viewing.
Same director as Gladiator–has the same feel. Should be a wonderful film. Crowe is one of our best actors and it is too bad he can be such a whatever at times!

I have seen Gladiator up to 50 times, so I won’ t miss this movie….
I didn’t like the trailer, I don’t think it was “strong” enough but I think the movie will be great!

And Ridley – well, he has now officially run out of ideas. I thought A Good Year was a low point but, much as I love Cate, this is never going to make its money back. Another Robin Hood flick is just not going to do well overseas – except maybe GB – and it’s not exactly a subject US theater goers are clamoring for.

Wow, a Gladiator remake only set a 1500+ years later. Duh, how original. I think I’ll just rewatch Gladiator next year and skip this one.

He does not over act, that’s one of the reasons he’s so good. Have you seen “3:10 to Yuma”? He is amazing in that. And, well, I don’t even have to mention Gladiator.
