OlderTaylor Swift Covers Year-End Issue of 'People'
Taylor Swift celebrates her incredible year on the cover of People‘s year-end issue featuring the 25 most intriguing people of 2009.
In the issue hitting newsstands Friday (December 18), Taylor, 20, who was named People‘s “Golden Girl,” shares that even though she’s skyrocketed to stardom this year, she’s tried her best not to let fame change her.
“You can stay the same person, even if everything around you changes,” Tay said.
“I would like to think everybody out there isn’t just waiting for me to trip and fall and stumble out of a club drunk. People know I’m not a party girl. I’m not hiding some dying urge to be out clubbing right now.”

Well she is star of the year in America, everywhere else in the world she is not really important! I like Taylor but that`s the fact! From these people on the list i don`t know half of them! I would put Lady Gaga on the cover ,she is real sensation of the year and internationally very famous! I also agree with Angelina and Brad, Rihanna , Susan Boyle ,Oprah( although she is not very influential outside America) Britney,Obama, even Rob Pattinson ! But no Kate Winslet? Penelope?Johnny Depp?Hugh Jackson?Beyonce? Jennifer Aniston(don`t like her but she is far more famous than people on this list)? AND NO HARRY POTTER KIDS( Dan,Emma,Rupert any of them)? Don`t like the list, too much publicity job!!!!!

The list is Most INTRIGUING. Only an idiot would suggest that there is even ONE intriguing thing in J. Aniston’s entire pathetic existence, much less something that would merit her being on a year-end list of MOST Intriguing.
By the way, People is an AMERICAN publication, so we really don’t care who is hot in London or Uzbekistan at the moment. Of course Swift belongs on the cover. She is a 19 year old kid who has meteorically gone from virtual unknown to winning every major music award in record time. She is also a talented singer AND musician, as well as a sweet, unassuming young woman in an industry dominated by overblown egos. And unlike Gaga, she doesn’t need outragous gimmicks to get attention — she relies solely on her TALENT.
Angie belongs on such a list EVERY year. Also happy to see Sandy B., Sarah P., MoNique , SuBo and most of all Sully on the list. He’s an undisputed HERO! Padma, the Real Wh@rewives and the Kardashians have no business on anyone’s list, unless it’s a list of most over-exposed in relation to lack of talent.
Gosh so sick and tired of Taylor Swift. I think she us too overexposed and overrated. Yes she has some nice songs, but she doesn’t even have a great voice, compared to some other country singers. I would have liked to see Gaga on the cover, people think she uses gimmicks or whatever, but she is naturally outlandish and has real talent, sings pretty nice live, writes and can dance and is definitely intriguing but oh well.

But no fame resulted from that very normal look. Fame only came when she started walking around with a lace kitchen curtain draped over her face to try to garner a little attention.
taylor IS internationally famous! i live in brazil and she is such a huge success here.. everyone knows who taylor swift is! you can go anywhere in this world and im sure they will know who she is!

INTRIGUING? How is Taylor intriguing? Or Kardashians? Or Kate Gosslin? You know everything about them!!!!! Lady Gaga is intriguing because you want to know more about her and she is faaaaaaaaaaaar more talented than Taylor and much better singer! Taylor is just cute American girl who knows to write songs for girls in love and broken hearted girls!!!!! And there is nothing wrong with that but stop pretending like she is something special! Why is there no Leona Lewis on this list?And Emma Watson who is highest grossing actress of the decade by Guinness and has been famous and popular since she was nine? They are both more beautiful and talented than Taylor why not put them on the list? Oh yes ,that`s right ,because they are not American!!!!!
