glad to see she has one fan other than Bet.

  • she is old news

Nice try……….Angie is the Queen of HW and is the highest paid actress in the world; sought after by every producer……..SHE CAN ACT….she is huge A LIST. Stop trying to compare her with a t.v. sitcom hack who is just trying to use that fame to become a movie star……every critic has slammed her, ignored her or just don’t care……she is and always has been ‘made for t.v.’ Angelina is a world class actress, Oscar winner, Sag winner, Golden Globe winner and on and on. They are not the same species in terms of beauty or talent……or the ability to hold onto the hottest man on the planet. So just give it up.

  • she is old news

    @go figure:

nope, she ain’t beautiful and she ain’t talented so both your criteria are incorrect. Sorry.

  • Hmmmmmm

What class! Not. How many times does this has been expect up to be charmed by her cooch?

  • Insecure, not natural

Those are two of the three adjectives Bradley Cooper used to explain why he didn’t want to date FauxJen. That might be why she doesn’t translate well into a character in a movie………she can’t get out of ‘herself’………of which she is wholly preoccupied. Sandra Bullock’s hair and girly roll differently in every film as it should be…..

This one is a cardboard cut-out with about as much persona…..she is a one trick pony……you can fool some of the people some of the time, but not all the people all the time.

She is apparently too self-absorbed to have figured this out. If she only knew that good hair is not what life, acting and relationships are all about. But the girl is limited in all capacities save for milking her Friends’ fame. It worked for awhile but someone should really tell her those days are over……….she doesn’t like change but the only consistent thing in life is …………change. I get weary when I think how much this woman has yet to learn.

Okay. I’m going to try and be pragmatic about this even with Nippy in the loop.
This movie looks horrible. In the trailer you can see a lot of the charming elements of Gerry but it doesn’t feel right. He seemed to have more depth playing Mike Chadway in TUT then this trailer shows. Even Gerry seems disconnected. And the scene where she is sitting over him trying to steal the gun, what poor editing. It actually looked like too different takes taken on different days.
Everyone here knows I don’t think Nippy can act. That is a given. And this fare is par for her talent.
But Andy Tenant sux!!! Fools Gold actually looks good compared to what this trailer is showing. Fools Gold at least looked like a sweeping encompassing film, this looks like a made-for-TV movie about a decade ago.
And I want to kick Gerry’s a$$. What the in the hell was he thinking when he read this script? How could he do this? This is less than a poor man’s Ben Stiller flop type role. Standing in the bathroom door flopping from a taser shock looked like a bad David Spade move. WTF!!!
Well, Great Scot, you better have made a f*cking mint because this will set you back a little on your career ladder. Thank God you have Coriolanus lined up and Sam Childers possible on the horizon. You will definitely need to show HW you can really act again.
Goddamn Gerry, you must be more picky in roles you chose.

  • Emma

tsk.. I’m sad. This whole thing is just sad and… sigh…
enough. I’ll wait for Ralph to try and save G from this nightmare.

  • RealityCheck

Funny trailer! I’m sure it will be a great movie.

  • noelle

i enjoyed the short clip. it looks promising. i can’t wait. i so love gerry!!! jen is not bad too. she’s cute.

  • noelle

i enjoyed the short clip. it looks promising. i can’t wait. i so love gerry!!! jen is not bad too.i think she’s cute.

  • pa

wowoow movie very hot also very funny

  • eliza

After watching the trailer, I’m willing to give this movie a try. I like Gerry, too, but wish he’d get rid of the scruff. He is even better looking clean-shaven.

  • Manya

There is no need to get rude about Aniston or Butler in regards to their movie choices or acting skills. Every actor makes an effort to do their best and it doesn’t always turn out that way. Aligning Butler and Aniston was a good business decision in the entertainment business. It works for publicity and because people will go and see the movie even if its bad or not as good as it could have been.

  • angel

@Manya: that’s the stupidest thing I’ve ever read on this thread. You take home the JJ trophy. Congratulations, you obivously know jack sh!t. I won’t even bother to explain why, you obviously wouldn’t understand.
    For Godness sake.

  • No Longer A-List

It’s not just that she LOOKS so bad in this trailer (obvious botox and filler) , she also SOUNDS awful. She’s got that raspy, fat-aunt-who-smokes-too-much voice going on. It’s just sad watching her demise (well, it WOULD be sad were she not such a vile human being). This film will be an ENORMOUS FLOP.

  • ManLESSton, I likely

    I have to respectfully disagree.
Aligning Butler with Bullock would have been a brilliant business decision. Ask Aaron Eckhart and Steven Zahn how good of a business decision that was for them to be paired with Aniston.
Because Aniston’s (I’m trying here to be nice) last two movies SHE was carrying bombed, she doesn’t bring box office clout to this pairing. Once again, Aniston’s last two movies (the only two she has carried) pulled in a lackluster $29M worldwide as compared to Butler’s three movies he carried that have brought in more than $300M worldwide this year (credit:
Butler is building a career that is rising at this point. He needs to be careful to not do this kind of drivel. TUT was awful but it had pull with audiences because of K Heigl and the subject matter. This doesn’t have K Heigl (a mediocre actress) and an intriguing plot or subject.
If you really think about it, you should be disappointed for both. It will not be the box office hope to save Aniston’s career and the critical work Butler needs continue to build his career.

  • sugar

Why are people so keen to prove that Aniston is a loser who can’t act, who doesn’t look good, who is not married (like that is an indicator of a good or bad person) blah blah blah? If you don’t like her just skip her movies duh! I can’t stand Lindsay Lohan so I ignore her get it?

And for the person who said that said she is a vile human being, why would you say something like that? Is she a slut, a drunk, is she a racist who makes horrible remarks about minorities, is she falling out of nightclubs? Why is she so vile? Even if you think she is not pretty or is not a good actress, that still doesn’t make her a vile human being. I do not consider myself a huge Jen fan, although I do like her. I com here for Gerry, but then the non stop hate that is directed at Jen is a tad distracting and quite honestly just mean spirited!!!

  • lila

    she is so talented!
I think this will be very funny!
    Can’t wait to see!

  • Cora

I really hope this movie doesn’t become Aniston and Butler’s “Gigli”. The two of them have put out such a stream of crap lately that the critics might just pile it on this time and make a career-ending example of the two of them like Affleck and Lopez. Those two former A-listers never recovered from that slaughter. When Butler does a film just for the cash he’s really got to be aware of the risk he’s taking. People got fed up with Affleck going this route and it’s been a tough road for him ever since. It’s not worth the cash if people lose faith in you. Thank god Ralph is around the corner to try to save this mess. Butler needs to pull his head out of the latest skirt he’s been sniffing and realise that once you’ve lost the public’s goodwill, it’s over. If he just wants to clown around for cash he might as well go back to life as a carnie.

who the F%&%$ cares about angelina in this? like seriously people get over the whole angelina thing.YOU ARE SAD!!!. this is a post about A MOVIE!!!!
    which btw… looks hilarious!!!LMAO

  • Jack

it looks funny, am gonna see it

and to everyone who continues to make comparisons with angelina in any post related to Jennifer GET OVER IT
seriously, it has been almost 4 years and you look like idiots attacking someone, and making it look bad just because at bottom all of you envy her, and despite how much this annoy you, and even if you insult her every time you can
Jennifer was married to brad!! Accept it, get over it and still believe that brangelina will last more than 3 years more and that Angelina is a saint even if she sleeps with her mother’s boyfriends

  • sugar

I don’t know how this movie will turn out. But I really think that considering the economic crisis and all the stress people have been under lately they might enjoy something light.

  • ManLESSton, I likely

Since Jen started pimping out SmartWater promoting their 5 cents/bottle donation for a kids charity, I thought okay, maybe I hadn’t given her the benefit of the doubt. I later found out she was a major stockholder of the company lining her pockets at the same time. Promoting for charity to line her own pockets…it gave me a good insight into her character. That did it for me as to despising her as vile human being.

  • ManLESSton, I likely

    @Cora: ITAWY!
Good post and insight. Now maybe some will understand better. *clapping*

  • dani

I’m not trying to be rude or put down your opinion, but did you actually view the trailer? The acting was horrible. The writing cliched (the handcuff bit has been done before), the humor non-existent.

Why would someone go see this piece of trash? When I go to the movies, I go to escape, immerse myself in a film. How can you do this when the acting is so poorly presented the trailer? Aniston sounded wooden and fake with no passion for the part. Butler, who is a good actor, sounded as bad or worse.

If for some reason I lose my mind and decide to see this, I’ll wait until it is on DVD at the library and check it out for free. Based on the trailer this isn’t worth one penny of anyone’s money except truly diehard Aniston and Butler fans.

  • sugar

124, firstly could you please give us the link with this information? Secondly, no it still does not make her a vile human being. Leave this disgusting word to the alcoholics, murderers and cheaters of this world. You invest way too much in this woman.

  • @sugar

Well, I’d enjoy something light at the movies–but something with actors who can act. Why do I want to spend $7-10 to see two people who have no chemistry recite lines that they are unable to bring to life?

And many of us don’t think of Jen as a vile human being, but neither do we think of her as perfect. She has whined on long enough about her divorce. She has tried way too long to portray the poor little single me.

Even John Mayer appears to be tired of her whining. One of the national television shows said these lyrics appear to be about her (Heartbreak Wars):

If you want more love, why don’t you say so?
If you want more love, why don’t you say so?

    Drop his name,
Push it in and twist the knife again
    Watch my face
as I pretend to feel no pain, pain, pain.

  • elisa

the same people who go to see bad movies as you say, made new moon one or the most popular film of the year in spite of the horrible history, performances so bad that are worthy for Razzie
soo if you wanna talk abaot bad movies start with this one and not whith a movie you’ve seen only the trailer

honestly I find it, like the typical romantic comedy that always have their public and I think that a comedy can make you away from your reality for a while not everybody its looking for a drama

  • lakers fan in boston

lol, now it actually looks funny
wasnt convinced at all that it was interesting with the poster and the scene shots
looks like it’ll be really funny

  • nyob

Jesus, this looks horrible. If these are the best bits of the movie, then . . .well, I really don’t know what to say. Judging from the trailer, it is full of bad acting by both stars and stupid, cliche and contrived humor.

  • curious cat

After giving myself a few hours to absorb that trailer, I label it lame. Seems to use every Hollywood sex cliche in the book. This is just a trailer and trailers cram the hype in. Some trailer teaser scenes don’t even end up in the movie or in the context they appear to be in. But I reserve judgment and probably will go see the movie if my dwindling fascination with GGG hasn’t completely dwindled by then for some other reason. Oy–I think it was Oy– hit it on the head. The fascination is something like watching a train wreck. It’s hard to stop ogling, waiting for the next horrific impact. The movie is another 3 months away. Who knows what public goofs and gaffs GGG wil make by then?. Then again, he’s not Tiger Woods, with a marriage and a REALLY huge empire to explode. The comedians are having a field day with Tiger, yes?

    Here it is…
Coming This Summer Jennifer Aniston to Promote Coke’s New Baby Smartwater Body by Electrolytes
(06/13/07) Following on the heels of Coke’s purchase of Glaceau makers of smartwater and Vitamin Water, comes the announcement that Hollywood superstar, Jennifer Aniston will now be promoting smartwater. Coke is betting big on the star power and the electrolyte fortified bottled water.
    Press Release:
June 13, 2007 Whitestone, NY — Aquafina and Dasani are the top players in the roughly $9 billion U.S. market for bottled water. However, it appears that smartwater is making a foray on the claim that its electrolytes and Jennifer Aniston’s star power will climb the ranks.
Recently Aniston’s cut a deal with Glaceau, the makers of smartwater and soon her picture will be plastered all the billboards across the U.S. Jennifer Aniston’s perfect body attributed in to her exercise, diet and lifestyle which consists of yoga, cooking organic meals and walking.
Jennifer Aniston (above) not only has a perfect female body, but incredible Hollywood star power. Coke hopes to cash in on her promoting smartwater this summer.
The announcement to use Aniston follows the heels of last month’s news where directors of the Coca-Cola Company approved the purchase of Glaceau, the maker of smartwater, Vitamin Water, and other brands for $4.2 billion in cash and Coke stock. Now it appears they are opening up their pocketbook and getting aggressive with their marketing.
Before this acquisition, PepsiCo’s share of the noncarbonated beverage industry in the U.S. which includes bottled water, sports drinks and juice, was 50%. Coke’s market share was only 23%, according to Beverage Digest.
Ostensibly Coke hopes to increase its market share of this burgeoning noncarbonated segment. Smartwater takes exercisers’ hydration by bottled water, one step further in that it adds the electrolytes potassium and magnesium along with calcium but without the high glycemic index of something like Gatorade.
Aniston also recently became AN INVESTOR IN THE COMPANY IS EVEN GETTING ACTIVELY INVOLVED INTHE BUSINESS. As part of the partnership with smartwater, Aniston co-created a limited-edition smartwater label, which will be available in stores across the country this July.
She will also be starring in an upcoming advertising campaign for smartwater, shot by Mario Testino, which will be seen on billboards and print publications this summer.
    Read the full article here:

  • sugar

So she invested in the company, what is the problem with that?

  • ManLESSton, I likely

The rumored amount of Aniston’s investment in SmartWater is $10-12M but I haven’t found the link I did before that listed numbers and I’m giving up looking. 20 minutes getting the first link is the extent of my time I’m willing to give you. If you want the amount go find it yourself.
Like I said, she is promoting charity while lining her own pockets. That is vile because it is cheating. Would the public buy the water if she said “this to help kids and help bolster my investment portfolio?”
    Vile and deceitful.
Now can we drop the subject of Nippy.
Gerry is much easier on the eyes and at least has a career that is interesting to look at…

  • oy

I barely got through this trailer. Every time I see him speak on film, this is what goes through my head:

  • FINALLY loons have a JA thread

Glad you freaks finally go a Jen thread so that if you’re going to obsess over her, at least your in the right place.

This movie a whole lot better than that Salt trailer. bwahaha did you see the scene in the Salt trailer where she gets up on those sticks she calls legs wearing that granny gray suit, walks across the room and turns to open the door…you could TOTALLY see the lines of butt pads she had to wear. bwahaha.

  • ****NEW THREAD****

NEW THREAD…..the family has jetted off for an unknown destination. Whoot!!!!

Another article on the Sam Childers project from Childers’ hometown paper…
And apparently they had a pic of the two in the paper but the website has pulled the pic…

  • Andy

Eh, I’ll watch it when it comes out on DVD.

  • dani

What is your point? I didn’t go see New Moon. Didn’t think the trailer looked any good either. Saw Twilight and liked it.

If I may point out, the trailer generally is suppose to contain some of the best parts of the movie in order to get you to go see it. These are not exactly conducive to gearing up your appetite to see the film.

So why would myself and the dozens of other posters that have seen the trailer and felt it was awful want to fork out $7-10. I can stay home and watch the incomparable Katherine Hepburn in any of her old, but oh-so-funny comedies. Or watch more current comedies like Sleepless in Seattle, You got Mail, etc. Why torture myself with bad popcorn and bad acting? If Jen ever proves she can act, I’ll go. Saw Marley and Me and she was totally awful in it. Waste of $10 to get in and the popcorn/drink package.

  • Germania

I think the trailer is funny. It’s not supposed to be great art, just entertaining. I’ll definitely see it because I really love Gerard Butler.

  • angel

@Germania: bless your heart, I love him too but this is painful.

  • sugar

Manlesston, why do you want to drop the subject of Jen? You are always hating on her, why are you backing off now? The thing is if Jen is investing in this company that actually means that this water is HER charity. She is actually giving away from HER OWN investment. Whereas if she was just promoting it without putting any money then you could have attacked her. So in short you’ve shot yourself in the foot. Besides, how do you know that she doesn’t give money to other charities? Not everyone likes to advertise their good deeds.

I can’t believe that you spend every day writing post after post attacking Jen and now all of a sudden you want to let it go. You have double standards and you must be a very unhappy person if you are investing so much hate in a person you have never ever met.

  • eliott

Rachel, what did you do to your face, tv girl?

  • dani

Then go see it! He was great in Derailed. And Aniston was laughable. In fact, when I saw it in the theater–the audience was actually laughing at the scene where she died she was so bad. Butler should have learned his lesson then.

  • Jill

    lmao @ 12/18/2009 at 1:57 pm

Honey, I gotta hand it to you — you have just given a whole new dimension to the term “blithering idiot”.
Changeling made $115 million at the box office and that does not include DVD sales. Any studio would love to have a “bomb” like that.
You want to talk about a bomb? Let’s talk about “Management”.
“Management” is a whole other planet. We’re not talking bomb now, we’re talking total thermonuclear meltdown. We’re talking about a mega-stinker of epic proportions. That piece of sh*t didn’t even clear one million dollars domestically and barely cleared half a million overseas. Funny how Aniston’s fans didn’t even turn out to support her crappy movie.
Want to talk about “Sh*t Happens”? That dog túrd of a movie that only made $26 million at the box office after extensive marketing and widespread distribution? That’s less than a fourth of what “Changeling” made.
No, Angelina didn’t win an Oscar for “Changeling”. But she was nominated for one. To be one of only 5 people nominated for a best actress Oscar out of the hundreds of actresses making movies every year is an enormous honor. But if by your definition “Changeling” was a “bomb” because Angie didn’t win an Oscar, then EVERY SINGLE FILM THAT FUGFACE ANISTON HAS BEEN IN has been a bomb. She’s never been nominated for an Oscar, let alone won one. And trust me, honey, she never will.
Next time, do your homework before you come on here making a damn fool of yourself because I am sick and tired of having to school you dumb fcuking hags time after time after time. Damn, you even managed to make Bet look halfway intelligent compared to you.

Again, nothing against Jen, but she’s not known for superior acting skills or killer movies.

I can’t wait for all the haters to tear down Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler. I knew they would start the comparison w/ Mr & Mrs Smith. The latter was not a comedy movie—it just had funny one liners, that’s it. So, Bounty is entirely a different story. Bounty is a comedy and they had fun doing it as divorcees in different jobs, no usual agents stories. LOL already just w/ the trailer. So eat your hearts out, haters. Just keep watching your Mr & Mrs Smith and immortalize the affair that happened and begetted Shiloe out of marriage. Oh and remember that the man bought the rights to W mag so they could get themselves on the covers w/ children—-a very unheartly gesture on both their parts. Go ahead admire your idols and keep on bashing Jennifer Aniston, blaming her for what happened. So unheartly of you Brangelina fans, too. You all belong together.

It’s poorly done, you can pretty much tell all of the plot from 30 seconds in the trailer and both protagonists aren’t looking their best.
It’s a disaster and a very poor move on Butler’s part, whom I had such high hopes for, even after P.S. I love you, which I didn’t care for at all.
I hope he’s wise enough to stay away from this sort of thing, at least until he’s got enough street cred (like sandra bullock) who can actually pull off a romcom or two every now and then and not look like a typecast or one note actress.
Just my two cents on this.
