OlderCarrie Underwood: Engaged to Mike Fisher!
Carrie Underwood is engaged to Canadian hockey player Mike Fisher.
“It’s true,” Mike confirmed as his Ottawa Senators team prepared for tonight’s game against the Boston Bruins at Scoriabank Place. “We’re both obviously excited and very happy.”
Carrie‘s rep also confirmed the happy news to JustJared.com: “I’m happy to confirm that Carrie Underwood is engaged to Mike Fisher, and the couple couldn’t be happier. No wedding date has been set at this time.”
Mike, 29, and Carrie, 26, have been dating for over a year now. They met in October 2008 during a concert in Toronto after being introduced by mutual friends.

SS, well, they really did not announce it until now. They were kind of forced to. Someone they know sent a tweet congratulating them, that he later deleted, but by then everyone had picked it up. I am sure Mike would have not said anything yet but it was already all over the place. Either way, congrats to both.

Never gonna work. This is a long distance relationship. And furthermore she is way too uptight. They may be engaged but they are gonna break up eventually. Marriage is not gonna happen for this pair.

Congrats, but how exactly will this work? It’s one thing to date long-distance, and another to have a long-distance MARRIAGE. Unless he somehow breaks his contract and gets traded away from the Sens, he’ll be in Ottawa for another 3 years at least- and as much as I love Ottawa, it will never be the epicentre of country music.
Don’t put a damper on their happiness, you don’t know them personally.
