Jon Gosselin's NYC Apartment Vandalized

Jon Gosselin‘s New York City apartment on the Upper West Side was ransacked.

“It was no minor incident,” his rep tells JustJared.com.

Sources on the scene reveal that Jon‘s couch and bed are sliced up, clothes are missing and knives are missing from the kitchen drawers. Apparently Jon‘s suits, shirts and shoes were also ripped apart.

TMZ is reporting that a note was left behind with his ex-girlfriend Hailey Glassman‘s name signed at the bottom (it could be a fake signature).

Coincidentally, Jon hasn’t been in his apartment for a week (he’s been spending the holidays with Kate and the kids). Hailey was at the apartment earlier this week to collect some of her belongings.

UPDATE: Jon‘s attorney Mark Jay Heller tells JustJared.com, “Jon Gosselin called me this afternoon, on the occasion when he entered his apartment in Manhattan and was horrified, disheartened, and saddened to observe the devastation of his furniture, clothing and personal belongings, which were apparently slashed with a butcher knife by a very troubled and sick perpetrator. Jon immediately contacted me and facilitated the able assistance of the New York City Police Department who immediately dispatched an experienced Detective to Jon’s apartment, where a forensic team commenced an intense investigation including photographing and fingerprinting of evidence at the crime scene. In addition, the Police Department seized a note that had been affixed to Jon’s bedroom dresser by a butcher knife that was speared through the note into the wooden dresser – The note will be forensically analyzed by a handwriting expert. At this time, I will not release the contents of the note or the signator, however, both Jon and I have determined that the perpetrator must be vigorously prosecuted on Felony charges. In addition to the aforementioned vandalism, Jon’s television, CD player, coffee maker, a Nintendo Wii game, dishes, pots and pans were burglarized from his apartment, and Jon’s shoes, shirts, luggage, bed, curtain, rugs and other furnishings in the apartment were slashed, most likely by the same butcher knife that affixed the note to his dresser. Sadly, along with the trashing of Jon’s apartment, a Ming vase, believed to be over 100 years old that was a family heirloom, was smashed to pieces. However, the greatest damage from this vicious, mean spirited and heartless crime was perpetrated not on Jon’s property and possessions, but on Jon Gosselin himself, who experienced a traumatic, emotional, roller coast ride having just shared a joyful family gathering with his children during their Christmas Celebration and the last thing that Jon contemplated when entering his New York City apartment, on what is suppose to be a Season that heralds in peace and goodwill, was to be devastated by such a cruel and cold-blooded act that was apparently intended to cut to his heart. “

    @Ana:

    Did you know that Karma is anti-Christian? Just wondering because so many Christians seem to believe in it, yet the bible disputes it.

    Karma is a theological concept found in the Buddhist and Hindu religions. It is the idea that how you live your life will determine the quality of life you will have after reincarnation. If you are unselfish, kind, and holy during this lifetime, you will be rewarded by being reincarnated (reborn into a new earthly body) into a pleasant life. However, if you live a life of selfishness and evil, you will be reincarnated into a less-than-pleasant lifestyle. In other words, you reap in the next life what you sow in this one. Karma is based on the theological belief in reincarnation. The Bible rejects the idea of reincarnation; therefore, it does not support the idea of karma.

    @Ariel: What exactly does this have to do with Jon Gosselin being burglarized? Don’t get it!

    christian Says:

    Karma isn’t anti-christian idiot. The bible state: “you reap what you sow”. or Do unto others as you would have others do unto you..

    Which is basically the same as “karma”..

    And Hailey should be arrested.

  17. 17
    Well really! Says:

    @christian:

    It’s not very Christian to call somebody an idiot, nor is it Christian to believe in Karma. Do some research.

    Ana Says:

    @Ariel:

    So is birth control, same sex marriages, among others. Doesn’t make people anti-Christian for having a shared belief in a certain aspect of another religion or alterations of your own (remember Christianism has quite a lot of ramifications).

    That being said, I meant Karma as in the pop culture definition, which isn’t necessarily anti-Christian and is widely used.

    You might also want to take a look at this:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karma#Western_interpretation

    “The concept of karma is part of the world view of many millions of people throughout the world. Many in western cultures or with a Christian upbringing have incorporated a notion of karma. The Christian concept of reaping what you sow from Galatians 6:7 can be considered equivalent to Karma.[34]”

    Just sayin’…

    @Ana:

    Wikipedia is written by anybody who wants to put in their 2 cents worth. I’ve done a paper on this at Theological school. In simple terms, Karma revolves around reincarnation. Real Christians absolutely do not believe in reincarnation – it’s as simple as that. :) Yes, on the outside there appear to be similarities, but in reality Karma is as un-Christian as can be.

    Sorry to go off topic – back to Jon Gosselin?

    Don’t really like him,but I don’t thing that he deserved this…and he might be a douce etc but I bet that he is pis*ed about that 100yr old vase!! He should not of made promises to young girls so soon after filing for divorce.He should of taking his time and eased into dating again instead he started acting like a horny teenager!

  23. 23
    Gunn Fan Says:

    Jon’s attorney needs to check his facts: If it’s a Ming vase, it ain’t 100 years old. It would have to be approximately 350 to 750 years old. It’s a lousy thing to have happen, but you don’t need to make up ‘facts’ in an attempt to garner sympathy.

    me, myself & I Says:

    Wow – I think his lawyer must be getting paid by the word – there are plenty of adjectives in that press release. Its sad, but considering his behaviour to his family and other over the past few months, hardly surprising. Maybe in the future he will treat people with the type of respect his lawyer is telling us that he deserves to be treated with.

    Did anyone really care enough to read all that sh*t? That’s all I have to say.
