OlderJared Padalecki: Engaged to Genevieve Cortese!
Jared Padalecki is engaged to his former Supernatural costar Genevieve Cortese, his rep confirms to JustJared.com.
A few weeks ago, Genevieve (engagement ring pictured here) publicly set her Facebook relationship status to engaged. The wedding is rumored to take place in Idaho later this year.
Back in November, JustJared.com exclusively broke the news that Jared‘s co-star Jensen Ackles got engaged to One Tree Hill actress Danneel Harris.
The Padalecki engagement news was first reported by E!‘s Kristin Dos Santos.

Wow. I swore he just announced he was engaged to another woman and had to go and check–yup, this is his second engagement in less than two years.
2 engagements and 1 wedding in 2 years, getting engaged the same moment your “best-friend” do, and being to ashamed to acknowledge publically the woman he’s sooooo in love with he can’t wait to marry when they were dating. HAve you lost your mind Jared ????

Jared and Genevieve make a gorgeous couple and I hope they are very happy together, they’ve been together over a year so its not like they’ve just suddenly got engaged after a couple of months.

I’am happy for the couple. I guess the rumors were true. I ‘am just shocked that it’s so soon after he broke up his engagement with Sandra McCoy. I also hope that he really loves Geneive and that it’s not a fast wedding…cause there are also rumors that Gen is pregnant???

Thank you so much! This is exactly what I was thinking. Don’t get me wrong I want for him to be happy always. But this feels so weird. Jensen and Danneel dated for over three and a half years before he asked her to marry him. I find this more than just a tad rash. But I guess he’s old enough to know. So, congrats to them!

Aw, Jared. Really? Not necessary, dude. What’s the rush? They’d been together for barely a year before he asks her to marry him? Come on Jared, I always thought you were smarter than that! If there’s some reason why you think you need to do this, there isn’t. You’d have a *ton* of support should you choose to, y’know, not go through with this… for whatever reason.

I’m very happy for both of them! Jared is a catch. Let’s just be happy for them. No one can guarantee that a marriage will work, that’s why you have to work at it. Jared seems like a hard-working kind of guy. I can only hope that some crazy fangirls don’t try to mess up their happiness on the big day. CONGRATS!
