OlderKaty Perry Engaged To Russell Brand -- Confirmed!
Katy Perry is engaged to British funnyman Russell Brand, her rep confirms to JustJared.com.
Katy, 25, and Russell, 34, got engaged on New Year’s Eve in India, where he proposed to her in a tent at the foot of a mountain.
After the engagement, Russell was quoted by UK’s The Sun as texting, “It’s true. Much love.”
Earlier today, Katy, who is on Glamour‘s latest cover, tweeted, “So when do I start walking the streets naked singing that Alanis [Morrisette] song?”

Alanis´ song “thank you” was composed after she went to India. The lyrics are beautiful, and in them, she thanks India, too. In the video for the song, alanis appears to be with no clothes on. Actually, it caused a stir that alanis, who is no”model perfect” appeared that way in the video, but it suited the music and lyrics totally.
