Sexy MARION COTILLARD !

yes but too many repeated failures could damage her career…

believe me, too many people jealous of her in France are waiting for it

don’t get me wrong, i like marion but i worry for her career now

I say this because after ” ‘La mome” where she was the main character, I expected similar roles, roles of strong women you know ..
However, she was enough happy to play the girlfriend of Johnny Depp in Public Enemies, “nine” where she has a secondary role, same for inception where she plays the wife of dicaprio..
les petits mouchoirs is a movie with too many main actors…

the only lead role that she had since ‘la mome” was in the “last flight” and where she was not even convincing

she looks good
congrats 2 her for winning that award
dont really like the dress that much but she looks nice overall
i really like her hair tho, messy and pretty at the same time

Great actress and a natural beauty.

Marion is awesome and she is a GREAT actress!

Her movies “failed” not because of her since her acting has been praised by EVERYBODY who actually knows what they are talking about!
She will just keep getting roles and people are gonna have to suck it up. If French people are waiting for her career to end or something they will get really disappointed, sorry to say.

Just because her latest films weren’t #1 at the box office, doesn’t mean she won’t get any roles. Critics love her performances in Public Enemies and Nine. She already has golden globe nomination and an OSCAR nomination at the British Academy Awards!

There are actresses who don’t do well at the box office but do incredicly well with the critics. Like Kate Winslet. After Titanic, not many of her movies have done well at the box office but she has an Oscar out of 6 nominations! Because her performances are powerful, like MARION!

So before you talk, think. Marion is successful because she is a phenomenal actress and critics prefer that than a big budget film.

@nikos:

What the heck are you talking about?

She had a main role in “Public Enemies” and “NINE” She has been nominated for BEST ACTRESS at the BAFTA Awards. I saw the movie, she was a main character! Plus, there were a lot of leading actors, it was an ENSEMBLE!

Nikos, who are you? Get a life and stop posting so much hate on this board. We get it, you want to her career to fail. You are obviously one of those French speaking Belgians who hate her for making it big, just like the French do, as #13 mentioned.

Nine has not been successful in the U.S. but it will probably do well internationally and with DVD sales. It is not a film for everyone nor is it a typical musical. I personally loved it. Public Enemies I was very disappointed in but the acting by all the actors was great. It’s the director’s fault the movie wasn’t better than it was, because it had all the potential. But as others have commented, Marion was praised in both performances. Especially in Nine, she was SO good. She is like Kate Winslet and Cate Blanchett. You could really feel her pain and it is her role that really is the core of the movie. I thought she was fantastic. I really wish she would be nominated for an Oscar, but they have also messed that up by putting her forward Best Actress instead of Best Supporting Actress for so many of the awards ceremonies that are happening before the Oscars. If she was in the Best Supporting Actress category she would have definitely be nominated for a SAG.
