OlderBrad & Angelina Donate $1 Million to Haiti Quake Relief Efforts
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie‘s foundation is contributing $1 million to emergency medical operations responding to the devastation caused by the 7.0 magnitude earthquake that struck Haiti on Tuesday (January 12).
“It is incredibly horrible to see a catastrophe of this size hit a people who have been suffering from extreme poverty, violence and unrest for so many decades,” says Angelina.
Brad adds, “We understand the first response is critical to serve the immediate needs of countless people who are now displaced from their homes, are suffering trauma, and most require urgent care.”
The Jolie-Pitt Foundation is donating the money to Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontiéres (MSF).
Angelina and the kids were recently spotted shopping at an Apple Store in Sherman Oaks, Calif.

Tens of thousands, on the hopeful side, (could be hundreds of thousands) of people dead, bodies of women and their children lying in the streets and the snakes still slither outa the grass with ragloid breaking batch of re-cycled lies!
These pieces of excrement don’t give a rat’s azz if babies are lying dead in the gutted streets in the wake of this devastation and people like the JP’s are making a huge relief contribution………I swear we could experience Armagedon and these azzholes would go down gasping for breath still muttering, “They are so over.”
They should all have a tall, cool tumbler of rat poison and rid the planet of this toxic waste. To rag on ANYONE who has been so generous in a time of disaster ……….does this sludge ever take a break???????? One thing to dis dresses, movies, hairstyles..whatever, but an ounce of appropriateness would go a long way. But here I am projecting normal human values on these sows.

UNICEF relief worker Guido Cornale told CNN that in Jacmel, a city southwest of Port-au-Prince, UNICEF was providing clean drinking water to those affected by the quake and has distributed 2,500 kits that can be used to set up kitchens in camps set up by the government to house victims.
Aid also came from other, more unconventional sources. The Jolie-Pitt Foundation, started by actors Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, donated $1 Million to Doctors Without Borders; the New York Yankees donated $500,000, Major League Baseball $1 million. And the American Red Cross and musician Wyclef Jean’s Yele foundation were accepting donations by text message — $10 by texting “Haiti” to 90999, and $5 by texting “Yele” to 501501. The donations will appear on cell phone bills.
And businesses including UPS, Google, Coca-Cola, Lowe’s, the Bank of America Charitable Foundation and Wal-Mart each pledged at least $500,000 for relief efforts.

I’m in utter disgust that anyone can question the JP donation of 1 million dollars. After looking at some 500 pictures of this disaster I’m so sad and sick to my stomach. It’s easy for many sitting in the safety and luxery of our homes in America to not give a damn but anyone with some heart don’t question were the money comes from. I’m sure if this happend to some of you nasty people you wouldn’t care where the money came from either. Believe it or not JP really get people in a frenzy to help, like them or not they are doing so much good where it’s needed.

Ummmm…pardon me for pointing this out…but…studios “plough millions” into promoting ALL their movies. Just think of all the money some poor sap ponied up to promote **** Happens and misManagement. And between the two flix they couldn’t even crack $25MIL in box office receipts. Ergo – the amount of money the studio spends to promote the flick DOES NOT guarantee a hit. Re Haiti – The loss and suffering is overwhelming: 90 degree heat with no water, shelter or immediate medical assistance. My friend has just confirmed that none of her family were physically harmed, but all lost their homes.
All our children normally wear uniforms to school, so my child’s school is having a “grub day” where the child gets to wear casual clothes for a minimum $2 donation for Haiti. All kinds of efforts are springing up here, including the organizing of volunteers to go help and restore some sort of infrastructure.
It is so good to see that despite the tendency of some (trolls, Robertson, Limbaugh) to focus oncriticism and negativity – all over the world, people are stepping forward to try and help in some way.

Aniston won’t be parting from her dough to help Haiti unless it means face time for her or she feel guilted into doing it because everyone else is helping and she don’t want to look bad. She probably don’t even know what’s happening. She did little to nothing during Katrina so I don’t expect to hear she’s helping with any funds or aid of any kind. Maybe she will donate an autograph, purse ort-shirt. $110+million, single, no kids, responsibility and no one to leave her money to but yet she is a selfish, self centered, tight wad!
