OlderConan the Barbarian: Kellan Lutz or Jason Momoa?
Conan The Barbarian is getting the reboot treatment from director Marcus Nispel (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Friday the 13th).
As of last weekend, two buff finalists were in the running for the leading man role (originally played by Arnold Schwarzenegger) Kellan Lutz (Twilight) and Jason Momoa (Stargate: Atlantis, Baywatch). But Deadline reports that as of yesterday, “another unnamed but better established actor” is being auditioned.
Conan is scheduled to start production on March 15 in Bulgaria.

NO ONE can or should touch this movie! It is a classic. Remaking the Conan movies will be an abomination without Arnold Schwarzenegger . He MADE that movie what it is. Hollywood’s greed and lack of originality is bile inducing.

actually I think either of them would be fine. the real trick will be the director and the writer’s spin. because no actor can make up for bad directing or writing. and sorry to say but neither of these gentleman is bank enough to pull in folks once word gets out of a lack in said departments. frankly with the high price of movie tickets not even Robert P himself could pull off box office on a slammed film.

I can’t think of anyone better than Arnold and James Earl Jones as bad guy, but my age is showing… If its gotta be, then Jason Momoa. He’s such a savage in Stargate, he’s got the height, and he can bulk up easily. He’s intelligent enough to figure out how to dumb it down for Conan. Plus, his voice is perfect. Not many men except Vin with a voice like that, but Vin is too old now.

The role must be played by a current elite bodybuilder. Traditionally conan only gets a fews lines of speech the rest is grunting, screaming and sword wielding. Why cast one of these beanpoles may as well ask keanu reeves
