Willa Holland: Message in a Manicure!

Willa Holland: Message in a Manicure!

Willa Holland hits the red carpet at the premiere of Legion at ArcLight’s Cinerama Dome Theater in Los Angeles on Thursday (January 21).

The 18-year-old actress, who posed for pictures with Bold Films president David Lancaster, paired her sophisticated red lipstick and soft waves with a manicure spelling out “Help Haiti” on her nails!

Legion tells the story of God losing faith in humankind and sending a legion of angels to bring the apocalypse to earth.

FYI: Willa‘s mom, Darnell De Palma Baldi, styled her for the event!

Oh, please, that is just so ridiculous. Why doesn’t she get Help Haiti tattooed on her butt while she’s about it. They need donations, not some Hollywood dumb schmuck painting messages on her nails.

@brightside: Omg thank you! I’d love to assume as well that these celebrities are doing the right and humble thing by bringing awareness to Haiti, but unfortunately for this chick while her intentions were correct, her methods were wrong, tacky, and tasteless! I mean seriously? Charity should be done so humbly, privately, and without asking for anything in return (aka publicity or jumping on the “helping out Haiti” trend just because all major celebrities seem to have).

She totally could write “FIERCE” on the next time.

met this little brat on the set of Gossip Girl where I was working behind the scenes. Never met a LESS talented, entitled little ****.

Idiot girl. Complete idiot.

@brightside:

how do you know that she didn’t donate her money? :)

she looks extremely pretty here and I think she is very talented, watch Garden Party instead of Gossip Girl and don’t make your opinion just because of one show

brightside @ 01/23/2010 at 12:51 pm

@lylee: She may indeed have donated money. My comment wasn’t about whether or not she has donated money. A lot of us have. My comment was aimed solely at the superficiality of painting a message on her nails and then using it as an excuse for a pap shot. It’s an entirely spurious and ridiculous action. The cheesy grin and silly pose conspire to make the seriousness of the message seem invalid, even a mockery. She’s a dumb schmuck, not for any acting ability, but for that idiotic act. She certainly doesn’t come across as though she cares.

she’s a pretty good actress and she’s very pretty. love the dress! :)

@brightside:
BRIGHTSIDE there is nothing bright about you. This 18 year old took this bold opportunity to bring attention to a tragic cause during her movie premiere. When most actresses are only concerned about themselves and what they look like Willa didn’t do that. She thought about the horror in Haiti. She also knew that this wasn’t the time or place to take up too much valuable “press time” talking about anything other then the reason she was on the red carpet in the first place, her film LEGION. Clever, Willa came up with a very appropriate way to get a message out there. Willa is also holding her own fundraiser for Haiti as well as being a part of other fundraiser’s. This is a young girl who thinks of others and not herself. Also regarding your statement “an excuse for a pap shot” are you a serious moron or what? She was at the premiere of a film she is starring in, the photographers were press (not paparazzi) and they were there to photograph Willa.
BRIGHTSIDE Burger King is calling and needs you back to the drive thru window to take orders. Stop day dreaming that you are better then anyone else and do something to help others!

@truther: Are you a fool? An idiot perhaps? If you’re still in the dark then try pulling your head out of your butt for a few minutes. Listen to yourself.

‘She thought about the horror in Haiti’

How, exactly? She painted her nails! And how exactly would it have taken up ‘valuable’ press time – (mate – in case you didn’t know, that is why they are there, to grab a few words with those attending) – by uttering a few, short, sincere words of condolence. Much more effective than behaving like a self-obsessed teenager and flashing her nails about.

You know, mate, I don’t think they would hire you at BurgerKing!

She looks really happy and happiness is contagious!

The best smile in Hollywood!

@brightside:

If you bothered to check out sound bites she talks a lot about haiti.

Hollywood ,and those who matter, are very impressed with what Willa did.

LEGION is number 2 at the box office, which is FANTASTIC.

How does bitter taste?
