OlderCarrie Underwood to Sing National Anthem at Super Bowl XLIV
Carrie Underwood will kick off Super Bowl XLIV next Sunday (February 7) in Miami Gardens, Florida!
The 26-year-old country cutie will sing the National Anthem before the big game between the Indianapolis Colts and the New Orleans Saints, according to her official site.
Last year, American Idol alum Jennifer Hudson sang The Star-Spangled Banner at the Super Bowl.
Before the Bowl next weekend, Carrie is nominated for two Grammy awards – one for Best Country Vocal Performance and Best Country Collaboration with Vocals for “I Told You So” with Randy Travis!

Yes ,it is prerecorded because it is the Superbowl and everything is timed to the minute at the begining of the show. It is a sport’s -game, but has show to it and not a person’s concert.
It is prerecorded so the singer won’t run the risk of flubbing a word, taking too long or the music, etc.
