Susan Boyle, Leona Lewis Voices to 'Everybody Hurts' for Charity

Check out this cover of R.E.M.‘s “Everybody Hurts,” featuring some of the biggest artists on the UK and US music scenes!

The song, which will be available for download on Sunday, February 7, and released on CD the following day, features the voices of Leona Lewis, Mariah Carey, Jon Bon Jovi, Kylie Minogue, Miley Cyrus, Susan Boyle, Mika, Michael Buble and more!

The collaboration was the brainchild of Simon Cowell, who said late last month that he’d get artists to sing on the track right away.

According to HMV, the single will split proceeds 50/50 between Disasters Emergency Committee and The Sun’s “Helping Haiti” appeal.

I love Mariah Careys part. So emotional. its amazing how famous her voice is, just a glimpse of it and you just know it is her singing. the only ones I could recognize were: mariah carey, rod stewart and bon jovi. the rest sound all the same.

  • slambang

I couldn’t listen to the whole thing. Mariah over-sings, as usual. It ruined it for me.

  • rocknmovies

How does this bunch of has beens, 2nd rate pop singers dare to ruin this beautiful song?
It’s like the new horrible version of “We are the world”, the original version had legends like Dylan, Springsteen, Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, Willie Nelson, Paul Simon, the new version has Céline Dion, Justin Whatever, all awful non rock singers who will be forgotten in 25 years.

They forgot to mention another talent who’s involved in this. The band’s name is called WESTLIFE from Ireland and is a pop singing sensation in the Europe, UK, Asia, etc. for about 11-12 years already. Simon Cowell is their producer and had them join in this song.

WESTLIFE is a group of 4 Irish lads (used to be 5) who worked with Mariah Carey on Against All Odds and came head to head with Susan Boyle’s album with their Where We Are this year.
