Robert Pattinson puts on his best brooding face for the March 2010 issue of Details magazine, on stands February 23. Here’s what the 23-year-old Twilight star shared:
On the sexy Details photo shoot: “I really hate vaginas. I’m allergic to vaginas. But I can’t say I had no idea, because it was a 12-hour shoot , so you kind of get the picture that these women are going to stay naked after, like, five or six hours…Thank God I was hungover.”
On his dream job of political speech writing: “You’d have two or three minutes to affect someone. Make them hear you…I quite enjoyed doing the press for Twilight because there was a similarity. But you’d better have something to say. I felt a responsibility to be fascinating.”
On his emotional sight: “The only emotional connection of relevance is with my dog. My relationship with my dog, it’s ridiculous.”

I can see why some people may be turned off by reading this interview. But I completely understand why he made that comment about vaginas. My cousin worked with him for the shoot and she told me the interview was done right after the poor guy had to sit there with a handful of girls sticking their crotches in his face all day long. She actually felt uncomfortable for HIM.
I understand that some people like to think that a man must be in “heaven” if there are a bunch of naked women all around him. But not every man is like that.
I’ve heard from more than one person who has met him that he is actually very respectful to women and isn’t one of those creeps who thinks that having naked women parade around everywhere is a cool or hott. He’s one of those people who feels that women should be respected and not pranced around like sl*ts. So no wonder he made that comment about not liking vaginas after having to endure a 12 hour shoot of women stripping around all over him and sticking their lady business in his face while having cameras flash all around him.

I’ve met the guy three times(once in LA and twice in New York) and I’ll be the first to say that he smells REALLY, REALLY good. I know he isn’t one of those guys who tries to look put together or as if he just stepped out of a Abercromie and Fitch commercial every time he steps out of his house…..but the guy definitely does take care of his hygiene.
The interview accompanying this is AMAZING. He has a fascinating mind and wicked sense of dry humour. Completely original, unpretentious, creative, and so insightful. The comments based on 2 out-of-context quotes are ignorant. Beautiful photos. If you don’t like them, don’t look at them.

A lot of times celebrities ARE forced into doing things a certain way…..even if they don’t want to. Because the photographers, managers, etc. think something will work, they make the celebs pose in a certain way or do someting in a specific way or they refuse to do the photoshoot all together. Also, sometimes the celebs don’t know just how provactive something may be or how long they will have to sit there and endure when walking into a photoshoot. But its Hollywood, and Hollywood makes you do all kinds of weird things if they think it will sell.

Well, Vic, your “cousin” is full of it. The shoot was done in December in the U.S. The interview was done in January in London. Why lie about that?
As for the interview, I thought he was funny as hell. Anyone who takes everything Rob says as a serious statement clearly has never watched one of his interviews. He came across in that interview as highly intelligent, quirky, witty and very interesting.

I do agree with you. I tried to tell the same on different swebsites but really, the readers (almost girls I presume) rejected my comments with fury or anger, having only those words in the mouth “these photos are beautiful, Robert is hot and sexy, I love him, I wan him…I open my legs”…and so on… I feel full of pity for these girls who are losing the true values : a naked body could be beautiful in certain circumstances, not necessary to be naked everywhere and anytime. It is a question of glance.. some will see beauty where others will see the ugliness. For my part, I don’t see any beauty in these photos, just a discomfort, as if taken in a “brothel” or a very particuliar private hotel and feel some disappointment by their obvious bitter taste and lower grade. I thought that was a pretty good interview with Rob. I would imagine he gets sorta tired of all the women chasing him and doesn’t want to complain..too much. It IS sexy how his brain works. I loved his story on the elephants myself, he appreciates the small special things he gets to do….not the fame trappings so much.

Okay so what makes sense but yet no sense at all to me is his hungover comment. I mean being hung over doesn’t stop your genitals form acting up. That’s was probably his excuse for his member not popping up. So what does this mean? Maybe he liked doing little ashes a little too much. I also hate how degraded woman are in this magazine.
