Shiri Appleby Interview -- JustJared.com Exclusive

Life Unexpected actress Shiri Appleby lends her support to designer Monique Lhuillier backstage at her Fall 2010 Fashion Show during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at the Promenade at Bryant Park on Monday (February 15) in New York City.

Here’s what the 31-year-old star shared:

JJ: What do you love about Monique?

SA: She’s just so feminine and she has an edge to her – later on in the season [on Life Unexpected], I get into a wedding dress and I was just very adamant that I wanted to be wearing Monique Lhuillier. This is my first show, so it’s nice to be at her show for the first time!

JJ: Did you shoot that scene already? How was it?

SA: We shot it! Amazing, the whole show. We finished shooting on Wednesday. I love the glamour of her dress – you walk out and it’s strapless and I had one of those long veils – it was very Princess Diana! I just feel really happy that people are watching it and paying attention to things!

JJ: What’s your favorite prop from the show?

SA: I think probably the radio mics we use in the radio station – I just love any of those scenes so it makes me feel like a real radio DJ.

JJ: Are you obsessed with reality TV at all?

SA: No – unfortunately, I work so much I don’t watch too much TV! I’ve been watching [the 80's show] Thirtysomething on DVD – I don’t think that counts!
