Tiger Woods Admits Affairs During Public Apology
Tiger Woods spoke out about his infidelity and apologized to his family, friends, fans and business partners.
Here are some highlights from Tiger‘s speech:
Elin never hit me that night or any other night. There has never been an episode of domestic violence in our marriage, ever.
Elin deserves praise, not blame. The issue here was my repeated, irresponsible behavior. I was unfaithful. I had affairs. I cheated. What I did was not acceptable, but I am the only person to blame.
I stopped living by the core values that i was taught to believe in. I knew my actions were wrong, but I convinced myself that normal rules didn’t apply…instead I only thought about myself.
I thought I could get away with whatever I wanted to, deserve to enjoy all the temptations around me. I thought I was entitled. Thanks to money and fame, i didn’t have to go far to find them. I was wrong; I was foolish. I don’t get to play by different rules. The same boundaries that apply to everyone apply to me. I brought this shame on myself. I hurt my wife, my kids, my mother, my wife’s family, my friends, my foundation and kids all around the world who admired me.”
Despite the damage I have done, I still believe it is right to shield my family from the public spotlight. I always tried to maintain a private space from my sponsors. When my children were born, we only released photographs so the paparazzi could not chase them. They staked out my wife and they pursued my mom. Whatever my wrongdoings, for the sake of my family, please leave my wife and my kids alone.
As I move forward, I will continue to receive help. Starting tomorrow, I will leave for more treatment and more therapy.
I do plan to return to golf one day, I just don’t know when that will be. When I do return, I need to make my behavior more respectful of the game.

There it is! I hope he not only says the words, but believes them as well. After marriage, you aren’t entitled.
He was as he always is- controlled, narcissitic, entitled and thinking that he is “above the rest”.

I feel bad for his wife and children if she does decide to work things out with him- he may play the “I’m changing game” for awhile, but then it will all be back to what Tiger “wants” – Tiger “gets”.

I am a long time member of a 12 step recovery program. I listened carefully to Tiger’s apology for signs of his own recovery. I THINK HE IS ON A HEALING PATH. Kudos to him for prioritizing overcoming the obstacle of his sex addiction and repairing his marriage!!!

We were all shocked by his behavior but even more shocking are all the *hores that remain in the 21st Century and have the courage to go on television either representing themselves or with their greedy attorney who is legally extorting money from his company. All of those women knew he was married with tiny children (just as anyone posting here). God works in mysterious ways and so, possibly, through long-term sexual addiction, family counselling, and commitment to his original faith (Buddhism) he will find himself. It’s time to stopping judging this terrible saga and simply let him get help as his entire life has been turned upside down. His wife, children, and their mothers have no direct implication in this story and need to be left alone. If the pursuit of his wife, children, and mother continues, I hope he spends all the money he has defending them in lawsuits against the paparazzi, tabloid magazines, and any talking heads on cable television.

tiger always said do not call him black or do not call him asian. he says he is not one thing. so now bet you can’t claim that he is being picked on for his race because he does not associate with those races. you can’t have it both ways. i personally think he is being picked on because he is the most famous man in sports and maybe one of the richest. and when a superstar like that does bad then – especially cheating with adult film stars and cheap vegas women – the world will be interested. i am not interested but clearly people are interested. that is why he is being picked on. i don’t think charlie sheen is being picked on because he is white. it is because he is a crrazy actor who does outrageous things. that’s it. tiger is the most famous athlete of our time. and he was always the good guy who everbody loved so when he does bad (cheating), people were shocked. they did not expect that from him. thsi is why this is such a big story. also he let the story go without saying something early on. big mistake.
when i say he does not associate with those races, i mean tiger has said he is not one thing. so how can you say he is being picked on for being one thing? he does not see himself as just black or just asian. he says he is “cablasian” or something like that. so if he does not associate with each of those races then he can’t claim he is being targeted because he is those races. by the way, he has never said that. you are saying that. tiger is being targeted because he is super famous, rich and a cheater. that’s it.
