Zac Efron Gives Middle Finger -- To Cancer!

Zac Efron flips cancer the bird in support of Stupid Cancer, a movement that connects young adults afflicted with cancer and helps them form communities of support.

The 22-year-old actor wore a Stupid Cancer wristband to benefit young cancer survivors in this photo with his cousin and cancer survivor Emily Hobson.

You can pick up your own wristband just like Zac‘s at the site’s store!

It’s about encourage cancer patients to keep on fighting and not let the disease stop you from enjoying your life. Having a positive attitude while going through treatment is hard, but it does help.

    charities. He’s a beautiful soul.

  • Bmine

@mslewis: You OBVIOUSLY don’t have OR know anyone who has Cancer, It is the most horrendous experience you can ever imagine , Sometimes all you can DO is say ” Fu*k You Cancer” and *give it the finger*!!!! cause you have no other outlet!
This is a Fantastic way to get to kids, Tell them it’s ok to be angry and FIGHT the HELL out of this stupid disease with all you got and be a team suport!!
I suggest you take a look at the website and learn about it before you judge something you know NOTHING about!
And IF you still don’t get it , that’s ok too, you don’t have to, just keep your negitave opinion to yourself.

  • LoveLeeR

  • vanessa zanessa is the best!!!

    ì love him !!! such a sweet man !

  • Alan Swann

@andrea @katha The photo is real. I am a survivor and volunteer for this organization. Unless you’ve been through it yourself, you will never understand what it means to be young with cancer. Emily is Zac’s first cousin and she’s in treatment right now. Has anyone gone to the actual website – – to get educated about why this is important and not a frivolous pander?

  • Karen

Why don’t you think their hands look fake? I’ve actually seen this picture without the fingers being blurred out and I can’t see why anyone would even bother to worry about saying it looked fake. What’s would be the point?

I can’t say I’m a fan of trying to teach a child to say “f*ck you” but I am in favor of teaching a kid not to give up and fight with everything you got in you and be angry at whatever is trying to defeat you.

I had no idea this was Zac’s cousin. I’m sure it just makes him more dedicated to the cause and that he is not just doing it because he feels he has to. Obviously he feels very passionate about it. Good for him. I wish all the best for Emily.

  • Karen

My last comment should say “why DO you think their hands look fake?”

  • Lydia

I buy it for zac efron

  • Randy

@Andrea: # 27 Andrea @ 02/25/2010 at 6:10 YOU Andrea are unessesary and ridiculous, I hope you never get Cancer and see how fantastic this program is, You sound like a spoiled little brat, if karma is real, YOU better watch out.

  • lovebird

ROFL!cancer do suck no one should suffer from it glad hje joinde an org.

  • sheila

@mslewis: its just a gimmick, geesh. kind of an odd thing to criticize don’t you think?

  • sheila

@Andrea: wow, what a stupid comment. you criticize a creative way to draw people’s attention to support fighting this horrible disease but then make a completely irrelevant comment about how “hot” zac is. how’s that brain working for you?

  • samantha

    i hate cancer…
    i support zac in that

  • susan1

i love you zac for doing this and you are good heart to support this
horrible type of desease that connects young adults afficted with cancer.

  • birdie

@Alan Swann: I love what you said. This fight will never end, so kuddos to whatever gets attention for it. You,Emily, and the rest of the kids stay strong and
    never give up.

  • Alan Swann

@Birdie Thank you. There are some seriously ignorant, self-righteous and blatantly stupid people here on this thread. If they even bothered to understand what this as all about rather than be so dismissively narcissistic, maybe they’d actually learn something and do the human race proud.

  • dangerous jackson

i love you…zac efron………you are the best person of the world

  • biandi

no one can flip the finger as sexy as he can…I LOVE HIM SO MUCH!

  • Soni Hannigan

    #27 Andrea:
THERE IS NO RIDICULOUS WAY TO FIGHT CANCER. If someone can come up with a way to fight cancer, than more power to them. I lost both of my parents to cancer in 2008 within 8 months of each other. It is not only devastating for the patients but very hard on the families also.

  • Malia

True, there is no ridiculous way to raise money to fight cancer. And 100% of the money from these bracelets goes toward fighting cancer. I think it’s awesome that Zac can bring this wonderful organization to the attention of everyone who might not be aware of it.

  • wildcats

    @haha: that’s rude!

  • Mona

Zac appears to support a number of good causes, but this must be close to his heart, if Emily is his cousin. Emily and others like her are great role models for young cancer sufferers. This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with others in the same boat, and to know that you’re not alone. Thanks Zac for bringing it to our attention.

  • Alan Swann

Zac is incredibly passionate about this. Emily *is* his 1st cousin. You can bet you bottom dollar he will be doing everything within his power to help the Stupid Cancer folks raise as much money as possible. I already bought a bunch of wristbands and so should everyone else.
