Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning aren’t just acting in The Runaways - they’re lending their vocal talents to the film, too!
The twosome star as Joan Jett and Cherie Currie in the movie (out April 9), and here’s the first listen of the girls’ musical efforts.
“I was stunned,” Cherie told Spin about what she thought when she saw the film. “When you live something, your first reaction is to say, ‘Well, that’s not right’ or “Wait a minute, it didn’t happen that way.’ Then Joan and I saw it again and thought, ‘Wow, this is really good.’ It takes time for it to sink in. I thought the performances were just incredible.”

Why why WHY did the filmmakers think that they could pull off singing The Runaways? It’s nothing wrong with Kristen Stewart or Dakota, it’s just ridiculous to have them try to imitate them.
Big fan of the Runaways … not Kristen Stewart! My husband thinks I should still see it, but my problem with Kristen Stewart is she is herself in every single role. So if I wanted to see Bella Swan trying to be Joan Jett I would.
Still making up my mind lol I love Dakota Fanning though! Such a talented, REAL actress. Song sounds good because it is current! Some changes with the tempo and sound but still similar and I think Dakota did a great job! Not too matchy matchy.

I applaud you! But you are going to get a lot of – “thumbs down” for all the little Twilight lovers who think these characters are real! Don’t get me wrong, I’m a fan of the movie, but “Twi-hards” bring it to a whole other level. Edward and Bella are noooooot real children lol
