Cate Blanchett and her husband, director Andrew Upton, attend the gala performance of King Lear to celebrate Bell Shakespeare’s 20th anniversary, at Sydney Opera House on Wednesday (March 10) in Sydney, Australia.
Below is the trailer for the much-anticipated movie Robin Hood, out May 14. The Ridley Scott-directed action flick stars Russell Crowe as the title character and Blanchett as Maid Marian.
“If you so much move to touch me, I will sever your manhood,” Maid Marian threatens Robin Hood.

I dont like this portrayal of Robin Hood. Russell just seems like a transplant of Gladiator—-Robin Hood should be like he is in Disneys animated movie. Loved that movie. I might just go watch it.

Im sorry but both russell crowe and cate are too old to be playing these parts.
This is going to be the most badass portrayal of Robin Hood. And very very intention too. What else would you expect when you cast Crowe in anything?

IDK it looks pretty good to me. I think I will give it a chance. I like Cate Blanchett. Crow is different from Kevin Costner. I can take the change.

Looks like she lost weight even though she’s always been quite slim.
Don’t get mad, but I think Russell Crowe is more suited for Friar Tuck than Robin Hood. In my mind, Robin Hood is lithe and lean and kinda mischievous. Crowe seems so serious and doesn’t look like the playful type.
Cut hair. Cate is so beautiful ! I love her. Robin Hood is awesome. She’s the best Lady Marian !
Looks good, but I agree with other commenters; the leads should’ve been at least 10 years younger.
BBC’s robin Hood is a lot better.

I’m sorry, but I’d rather watch two “older” actors who can actually act playing Robin and Marion than watch one of the younger crop of actors who are more interested in being a star than a serious actor.
Furthermore most of the classic Robin Hood tales have him being older rather than younger.

as much as i love Cate, she’s too old and wrong for the character Marion.
Marion is suppose to be young (in her 20′s) with long dark brown hair and dark eyes. Cate is just wrong for the part and i’m disappointed. I’d rather have seen a talented unknown actress than an older woman trying to portray this young character.

Looks to be about as bloated and overrated as Russell himself.
Russell really does look bad. He’s so bloated. Ridley seems to have kept the move very dark so it wouldn’t show but there’s no hiding the fact that Russell should have been fired in the beginning.
…these trailers are horrible. worst robin hood movie. i’ll wait 2weeks after it comes out and watch it free online
