David Beckham Undergoes Emergency Surgery

David Beckham and his wife, Victoria, leave a private clinic on Wednesday (March 17) in Turku, Finland.

The 34-year-old soccer star underwent emergency surgery on his left Achilles tendon after injuring himself in the AC Milan/Chievo match on Sunday (March 14).

“I have appreciated so much all the messages I have received after the injury,” David said in a statement (via BBC).

“I want to thank from my heart all the Rossoneri. The club, the doctors, my team-mates and the fans.”

David is expected to recover completely in six months and “will be able to play again,” according to a statement from AC Milan.

Hope it’s a speedy recovery!!

FINALLY, an athlete’s wife going to be by her husband’s side. I thought for a moment that these wives were FOREVER glued to their CHILDREN’S SIDE! It’s so REFRESHING to see Victoria, showing the world, that when it comes to her husband, Mr. David Beckham, Mrs. David Beckham, (will drop what she’s doing, leave the kids with Grandma, HOP a plane and) WILL GET TO HER HUSBAND! It’s about time the WIVES start to REPRESENT, cause it seems like these MISTRESSES have taken FULL CONTROL! David seems like he only has eyes for Victoria, but NO MAN needs to be away for too LONG. That’s probably the reason David sustained this injury. The Lord works in Mysterious Ways. He knows just how much ALONE TIME, David can bear. Now maybe David and Victoria can have time to work on HAVING A DAUGHTER!!! GET WELL SOON DAVID!

Uh, some of these fans need to go concentrate on their own personal lives. The last thing this couple need now is more overexposure and attention on their personal life. It is They already have three children. Try to raise them away from the glare of the media and the inevitable ‘turbulence’ that comes with it. That can only be better for them all.

    Beckham v Finland
    http://www.thefa.com/video/England/Mens-Seniors/GreatestGoals/Beckham-v-Finland

David Beckham scores in the unfamiliar surroundings of Anfield.
In March 2001, England had to fight back from being a goal down against Finland as they looked to qualify for Euro 2002, but a Michael Owen strike and then an angled finish from Beckham sealed victory and probably the first Anfield goal that had heralded cheers on Merseyside
