Hugh Jackman suits up for his Tokyo Dancing Hotel ad for Lipton Iced Tea in this advertisement.
The 41-year-old Aussie actor, who serves as Lipton’s global brand ambassador, shot the ad in January in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Michael Gracey, who directed the hilarious Evian Roller Babies commercial, helmed the project!
“I was so happy because, for me, when you’re celebrating the greatest moments you have in life, you dance,” Hugh shared. “Even the butchest guy playing football will dance when they score a touchdown or a try.
“When you feel good about life, you dance, and in this commercial, I play someone who’s a little tired and run down, in a place where he doesn’t have anyone around him that he knows. He has a sip of the drink [Lipton Ice Tea] and inside he starts to feel alive and positive.”

Yes that’s really him. After all, he’s danced on Broadway and at the Oscars. One news report said part of the reason he got this gig was because of the dancing he did at the Oscars.

Yes, finally he can do what he does best. I love it! Now I hope he could also dance and also sing in some movie. He is just an old-fashioned, charming old Hollywood type of an actor, who is stuck in the world that loves action movies. I hope he can make a movie musical very soon…any musical!

Doesn’t want to represent joy, it’s like a oneiric vision, almost a dream. Walker dances alone in rooms of a completely desert hotel.The atmosphere isn’t cheerful but anxious. By the way Hugh and Christopher are both two great artists :-)

The facts as stated are straight. This commercial WAS filmed in Brazil. The setting is represented as Tokyo but it was NOT filmed there. Check out the Lipton website if you need proof.

I truly hope Hugh Jackman & Anne Hathaway will do several prestige comtemporary musicals together. Their personalities are so similar : humble, gracious, silly, goofy, smart, and articulate. Anne & Hugh are the few A-list movie stars that can truly sing & dance. The incredible chemistry between these two is powerful – haven’t seen that type of red-hot chemistry in years. I will never forget the magic they created together at the 2009′s Oscars- one of the great highlights of all the past Oscar telecasts.
