OlderEva Longoria: $1 Million to Parents Against Cancer!
Eva Longoria makes a funny face alongside cancer survivors Angelica Meza, 10, and Jaylen McWilliams, 6, on Saturday morning (March 20) in Burbank, Calif.
The 35-year-old Desperate Housewives actress presented a $300,000 check and celebrated the $1 million total donation over 4 years from AT&T to Padres Contra El Cancer, an organization which raises money to support families coping with the devastating effects of childhood cancer.

A new episode of Desperate Housewives airs TONIGHT @ 9PM ET/PT on ABC.

That’s a good cause. Those kids are lucky. Very lucky. They should be celebrated. My female cousin died back in July from a brain cancer. She was 19. Unfortunately, the doctor found out about it too late. She just happened to have headaches back in may and two months later, she passed away….. Well, my point is…. You should not take life for granted, never. And these kids who survived such a b!tch ass disease have to be really grateful for their second chance. I mean, as I know how painful it can be, not only for the person who has cancer but family and friends too, I realise how lucky they are and how maybe not many people know about it. I didn’t know before that that you could be taken away just like this, all of a sudden. Let me tell you that it can happen to anybody and not only fat or anorexic or not healthy people. My cousin was very much alive (very healthy) and she was a boxing champion where I live. So yeah, I’m happy to hear that Eva supports this great cause. Cancer is a b!tch, I f*ckin’ hate it. You guess why. Yay to their future hopefully long lives!
