Gerard Butler dishes on his high school crushes in this clip from the Wednesday (March 24) episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!
The 40-year-old Scottish actor shared stories from two of his former flames in high school and said he wasn’t always such a hit with the ladies!
“[One girl] flirted outrageously with me,” Gerry shared. “She’d hold my hand, smiling and always pretending we were boyfriend and girlfriend until I made my huge attraction to her very clear, at which point she said, ‘I’m not in the slightest bit interested.’ It killed me!”

I saw the show last night. Butler was on a roll. Funny and hot at the same time.

They probably are made up names. But even if not, he was saying how they put him down… It probably puffs up their egos. Bragging rights: “I turned him down in high school you know.”

I don’t see him as overly full of himself. He’s always willing to make a joke at his own expense.

a lot of guys would love to be able to do what Butler did on Kimmel. Some high school experiences really can have a lasting impact.
(I doubt if he used anyone’s real names. These interviews are not as spontaneous as they appear. I’ve read that most everything is pretty well mapped out before the shows begin. No one just goes out and wings it.)

Yes and it works both ways, Both men and women were hurt badly in high school and we ALL did cruel things to other kids, the school nerds, the school ****, the school rejects, I cringe when I remember back at how cruel teenagers can be and the word is that has not changed if not made worse by cyberbullying and girls being more aggressive than ever.
Hey some of the best movies of all time and best novels and best songs were written about that. Gerry admits to being a bully and remember he was all upset because one of the guys on 300 knew Gerry back in the day and he didn’t want all the stories getting out about him being a bully. Well until he admitted it all later.
