OlderJohnny Depp: Music Video Directorial Debut!
Check out the music video for “Unloveable” from Babybird – it’s directed by Johnny Depp!
The 46-year-old actor, who also played guitar on the track, shot the video back in September in Herts, England.
The video is based on the short story “An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge,” written by Ambrose Bierce in 1890.
“This particular version was just a bit too intense for the folks over at Yahoo’s Standards and Practices department,” Babybird‘s label, Unison, wrote on their YouTube page. “However, we believe that this version gives the viewer the true vision intended by both the artist and director.”

it’s not his debut of directing music video he already directed 4 music video for his wife Vanessa Paradis !! for the song pourtant, que fais la vie (album bliss) 8 years ago, last year the music video for the song l’incendie and this year for the song il y a! johnny is far away from his debut!!^^ the music video he did was always very good! he’s talented in everything in touch! good job!

Can someone help me. I have high speed internet, dsl….why does this video keep dragging? It was so hard to watch with the stops, but from what I could see, I loved it. Babybird and Johnny Depp did a superb job, now if I could see it in normal speed.

Wow that’s dark…but effective. I’m surprised that I like the song. I figured Johnny Depp would like that kind of unmelodious noisy kind of music that I can’t stand.
That was excellent–the song and the video. Depp’s got a lot of talent as a director. I thought “Il y a” was a bit too busy, but this was beautiful.
I watched it again and it worked perfect this time, what a beautiful song and thought provoking video. I passed and rec’d it to friends on facebook along with the history of the story. Great job, Babybird and Johnny!
I thought Babybird flew away years ago, nice to know their still kicking around, great song, and good for Jonny for having such great taste in music :D
