Wesley Snipes: GQ Magazine Man

Wesley Snipes talks candidly about his tax evasion in the April 2010 issue of GQ (with Shia LaBeouf on the cover).

The 47-year-old actor — who was convicted of willfully failing to file tax returns — is facing up to three years of jail time. How will he deal with it?

“With the grace of God,” he tells GQ correspondent Chris Heath. “Quickly, soundly, with health and knowledge that these things, too, shall pass.… And I’ll still have my talent. And hopefully I’ll still have my mind. I can deal with it.”

Wesley also opens up about some of the most significant and memorable moments of his life, from growing up in the Bronx to his friendship with Michael Jackson: “We were sent an angel. Not that he was an angel, but we were sent an angel. To heal, to inspire, to evoke thoughts of beauty and love in this world of chaos. And we didn’t take good care of it.”

  • I thought

He went to jail already and was back stronger than ever.

I don’t blame him for failing to file tax returns as I’m sure he had accountants that he thought he could trust to do those kinds of things.

I feel they should be in jail.

Anyway, I thought all this had been cleared last decade and he was starting a fresh? Not still hanging but deal with it so you can move your life forward.

Regarding MJ no one truly cared for him including his family it was always about the money.

Gosh, its hard being famous not everything is gold.

WOW! Wesley saying that we did not take care of Michael brings tears to my eyes. It’s being reported that the DOCTOR, that Michael HIRED, didn’t even take care of Michael, because he STOPPED, doing CPR, to HIDE THE DRUGS IN THE ROOM! This same doctor, according to one of the women in Michael’s home, called for Prince, (Michael’s oldest son) to come into the room. Heaven only knows what Prince may have encountered in that room.
In any event, I pray that Wesley’s tax problems, will soon come to an end. AND, that he’ll always remember that, it’s in the NOT FILING A TAX RETURN, THAT GETS YA!

When is he going to jail???? He should just go ahead and do his time. Wesley knew that the returns were not being filed. YOU have to SIGN them even if you do have an account. He isn’t ignorant, they just thought they could get away with something. He, like everyone else, needs their 5 minutes of Michael time too.
