OlderJames Franco: Yale Degree in the Works?
James Franco has enrolled in Yale‘s English Ph.D program, reports The Yale Herald.
Miles Levy, the manager for the 31-year-old actor, tells The Yale Daily News that while James has not accepted Yale‘s offer, “He loves Yale and it is more than likely his first choice.”
James already has an undergraduate English degree from UCLA and an MFA from Columbia University. He also studied film at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. He’s just racking up these degrees, isn’t he?

IMPRESSIVE. Recently so many celebrities have been falling vitim to drug and alcohol addictions; it is refeshing to see that James Franco is putting his money and brains to good use. I wish him the best.

Very awesome. It’s great to see an actor who values getting an education over partying every night. This makes him so much more attractive to me….a guy who doesn’t “need” any degrees yet he keeps working for them. I wish him lots of luck if he decided to enter this program!

geez, they act like this is a huge frickin’ deal. “he already has a degree in blah blah blah….” good for him, but it’s not special or anything.
I would call it a big deal if he was a celebrity or not. Education and furthering oneself is a great goal to focus on, and the fact that he has a very lucrative career that doesn’t require him to pursue multiple degrees, and his pursuit shows exactly what he spends his free time doing, I would definitely have to disagree with Megan. It’s those that don’t appreciate education that will never reap the benefits of it, and it seems your prefer your ignorance so have it.
