Baywatch: The Movie?!
Baywatch is being adapted into a full-feature movie!!! What?!?
According to THR, Paramount has tapped screenwriters Brian Gatewood and Alessandro Tanaka to write the screenplay. (The pair has an upcoming comedy starring Jonah Hill called The Sitter.)
Jeremy Garelick, co-writer of The Break-Up, was brought on to rewrite and direct back in July.
Insiders say the movie would be more of a TV revamp like Charlie’s Angels rather than Starsky and Hutch. So we can expect some female-driven action in addition to the comedic take that Gatewood and Tanaka would add to the mix.
More than likely David Hasselhoff would make a cameo. How could he not?!
I’ll be ready…

Summer, Matt, CJ, Stephanie, Hobie, Mitch Buchanan.. those were the times!
Oh my eyes! The orange…..the horrible orange color! Noooooo!
Where the heck are all the writers in Hollywood? Have they left town on a slow boat? Why can’t we get any new, original movies anymore? Most of what we are seeing are remakes of old TV shows or comic book 3-D movies. Excuse me while I barf.
Didn’t they already make one Baywatch movie? I think so. Back in 2003 or more likely 2004, they made a Baywatch movie : a Hawaiian wedding, remember? Oh well, maybe it is not considered a proper Baywatch movie or maybe the budget was too low or something but I remember it quite well. There were Pamela Anderson, most of the original cast (Hobie, Mitch, etc) and Jason Momoa in it. @kgg: I have to agree. So true….
noooooooooooooooo!
this can’t lead to a happy ending!
I hope it’s a fools’ day joke!
