OlderMatt Bomer is a Paper Person
White Collar hunk Matt Bomer is featured in Paper Magazine‘s new “Beautiful People 2010″ list. Here’s what the 32-year-old actor shared:
On researching for his character (an ex-con whose sentence is commuted in exchange for helping the FBI put away other criminals): “I watched The Hustler, The Sting, and To Catch a Thief. But I also tried to throw in a little bit of Ferris Bueller and Eddie Murphy in 48 Hours. I like characters with flaws, who have shadow.”
On quitting his high school football team to join a production of A Streetcar Named Desire: “I used to drive down at the end of the school day, do the show, do my homework during intermission and drive an hour back to Spring to go to school the next day. (The footballers didn’t object.) I think they understood that this was what I wanted to do with my life. (smiles) If I had been the All-State quarterback, they would have had some objections to my playing the young collector in Streetcar.”

He is beautiful but this list was celebrating quirky, eccentric, unconventional beauties. He is symmetrically, classically good-looking and sort of doesn’t fit in the list.

Matt is in a word – perfection. Not sure he fits this mags definition but whatever, any pic or article on this dreamy guy I am thankful for…he ‘s got to be one of the most beautiful humans on the planet, male or female.

@British Latin American: Ordionary people? What is ordinary? Plain? Because Bjork and so many others featured in PaperMag most certainly are not “ordinary”. PM has a specific grasp on pop culture that interests me, maybe because I am a typical Art student that is drawn to eccentrics and quirks and things that are a little less black and white. Btw, I ADORE Matt. He is perfection. I also was amused he was in the List.

Matt never been in – always out and about, and for last few years happily married. One of the sweetest guys you’d ever want to meet…amazing smile and eyes are only a bonus.
@CTegan: That’s correct, honey, plain or okay-looking. Its only because of their fame that they are ‘beautiful.’
@gorgeous Actually the “openly” part is clearly not the case as part of being open would involve a public acknowledgment of the fact – according to society. His team have always said “no comment” (which is pretty obvious what that means haha) but it is common knowledge he is dating a high profile publicist Simon Halls, and raising three kids with him. If I am not mistaken, Matt had 3 kids with his ex girlfriend who he left her for his current boyfriend. Correct me if I’m wrong and the seperation was mutual.
