The 27-year-old actress explains why every episode of her hit HBO series is so sexual. “Obviously, if you’re getting into vampire sex, which usually involves biting — the taking — then, yeah, clearly there’s some interest from both parties into maybe a more risque style of lovemaking and sex. But on another level, if you take away the pervier aspect of it, the sex is the deepest way these two people can be connected. You know, they’re not just f–king, they’re sucking each other’s blood. It’s all very romantic! I mean, I love you so much that I’m going to let you drink my blood? Nothing says ‘I love you’ more than a cup of freshly drawn blood. It’s very sweet.”
