January Jones: Better Emmy Chance This Year?

January Jones heads to LAX airport to take a flight out of town on Wednesday (March 31) in Los Angeles.

The 32-year-old Mad Men actress may have a better chance at an Emmy this year! According to THR, the producers of Mad Men have moved co-star Elisabeth Moss to the supporting actress category for nominations so that January will have a chance at taking home the trophy!

Elisabeth was nominated in the Best Actress category last year. The award went to Glenn Close for Damages.

Today, January was seen attending a meeting in Hollywood.

That’s a little sad that the show has to go to such measures just so she can even be considered for a nomination. Maybe she should just try being a better actress. Always an option…

  • truly

    she is beautiful.

She’s great on Mad Men. Hope she wins.

does anyone knows the brand of the sunglasses she is wearing?

She;s quite fetching, and does a wonderful job on Mad Men. Hope her disastrous turn as SNL host doesn’t sway voters.

  • anna

She looks like Naomi Watts in these photos.

And Julianna Margulies is totally winning the Emmy this year!

  • remember da truth

Allie Baby, if you see her on Mad Men, and see her do anything else she’s done, you will see what a good actress she is. She has even had previous movie costars call her up after a season of Mad Men and say it took several episodes before they recognized it was actually HER and they had WORKED with her!

Betty is very difficult to play because she is mysterious, even to herself, not wanting to make waves. Remember first season, when she would get palsy when faced with triggers of her facade of a marriage crumbling? She didn’t even know why, because she keeps so much repressed.

  • John

Moss should have been in the supporting catagory since the beginning of the series. January Jones has always had more screentime. It was unfair that she had to compete with her.

  • Amber

Well, since the show started with Peggy’s perspective, it made sense that she was lead. But as the show progressed, it became more about Don and Betty. But, really, I think Moss is much a stronger actress, and am perfectly fine with her getting noms over Jones.

  • jenn

I think the producers are trying to secure Elizabeth a win. Get her out from unde Glenn, so to speak.

  • LadyB

Okay, there is no bigger Mad Men fan than me. But her character is not strong enough to be considered for a Best Actrress. I love January Jones, but come on? Best Actress for playing Betty Draper? Mmmm.

  • lola

I love her and I actually think her portrayal of Betty is totally Emmy worthy. I think it’s quite difficult to play such a repressed person and you understand Betty’s character through the little subtilties that January uses to portray her.

  • the_boyfriend

good, she was robbed last yr and deserves the emmy..glenn close is so over the top while january is so subtle. ‘go watch tv’!

  • nadine

    She’s really pretty.
