Andy Roddick Wins Miami Masters

Andy Roddick holds up the trophy after defeating Czech Republic’s Tomas Berdych in straight sets to win the men’s final of the 2010 Sony Ericsson Open at Crandon Park Tennis Center on Sunday afternoon (April 4) in Key Biscayne, Fla.

“It’s great, I thought I played a pretty smart tournament,” said the 27-year-old Lacoste model, who also won this tournament in 2004. “There wasn’t much difference (between us), I thought Tommy had a great tournament, he is a complete player and I was happy to see him play well this week.”

After the tournament, Andy‘s wife, supermodel Brooklyn Decker tweeted, “!!!!!!!!! :)”

Last night, Roddick played in an exhibition match to help raise $125,000 for Chile earthquake relief. What a nice guy!

Well he did beat nadal to get to the final and it’s not his fault Rodger federer lost before the final so it was a very big win for him

He is very lucky Tomas Berdych is so weak mentally…. seriously… very lucky.. and he had such a simple draw compared to everyone else *coughfixedcough*

Tomas Berdych!

Lmao, now Brooke’s a “supermodel”? And Federer’s fans are annoying, so I’m glad he lost.

Amazing that he beat my boy Nadal.

We’ll see how he does on clay! =) Good for America though.

I LOVE Roddick. After he won the US Open in 2004, he just stopped playing good. I lost all faith in him, so I moved onto Djokovic. Ever since he got a new coach, he’s been playing brilliantly, like the old Roddick. I hope he makes it to the US Open again and wins, or beats Federer again. Federer needs to lose. He’s like Tiger Woods. No matter how much you play him, you’re probably going to lose, that’s how good he is.

Fixed? The seeds on Roddick side of the draw lost. And Nadal is a top class player. Berdych put out guys like Federer, Verdasco and Soderling before crumbling in the final. Roddick pöayed a great tournament and deserves a lot of credit for putting a lot of effort into becoming a better player. He may have been a one dimensional player in the past but he is adding some pretty nifty shots to his repetoire. Well done, andy!

congrats andy:) well done

so happy for andy’s win! i have been a fan for ages..he has been playing amazing lately its ridcilous to say that his draw was easy beacause thats just luck and berdych did beat some of the toughest players and he is number 16 in the world so saying that he is d-list is ridcilous.roddick also is the player with the most wins on the atp tour this year so you cant say that he is not a good player

He is great, can’t wait for Wimbledon Tennis Championships.
